I talked with the service manger at Acura of Memphis today. He said their new policy was to recommend oil changes at 7500 miles or 6 months only. He said earlier oil changes were unnecessary and benefited only the oil companies. You don't know who to believe on this issue???

 

Read the maual 7500 for HW and normal trips and 3750 for severe conditions.... and that with mineral oil... With Mobil 1 and I will do 5000 miles easy...

 

IMO -- If the car does a TON of short runs (grocery runs) and 6-months comes along, it wouldn't hurt to change the oil.

Amsol link to pdf file (Says to change their oil filter at 6-months. How many people really just change the filter and not the oil). IMO -- The Amsol stuff is good stuff.
