OEM motor mount install
OEM motor mount install
Help.
I'm trying to install my front motor mount. The new mount wont fit cleanly because the motor is sitting too low. I've tried jacking the motor up, but it won't move independently of the car. Do I need to start the car in order to get the vacuum moving? How do you get the damned thing in?

Follow this info from the TSB 06-014 "Idle Vibration or Harsh Shifting":
http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/B06-014.PDF
Then neutralize the engine mount before applying final torque specs to help reduce NVH (noise vibration harshness from a binding mount):
1. Loosen the main engine mounting bolts until
they’re just finger-tight.
2. Start the engine, and set the parking brake.
3. Apply the brakes, and then shift back and forth
between Drive and Reverse several times.
4. Shift to Park, and shut off the engine.
5. Torque the main engine mounting bolts to
spec.
Good luck!
