I highly doubt they are specifically made for our cars.....and i don't care, as long as they fit. Will the application of the v6 Accord fit the CL-S?

I still prefer the SOLID WELDED design of the Neuspeed upper strut bar.
I don’t like the designs with the extra hardware and “pin” type connections.

There are more parts to work loose and reduce performance and/or squeak and rattle.

I have to say I've always been fond of either one-piece or solid-weld designs myself. The whole multi-piece thing seems sort of self-defeating.

matt - there's at least a couple CLS drivers with them because I remember seeing pics of one installed. I think it goes under the exhaust pipe and everything and really cuts some of your road debris/hazard clearance under the car because it's so low.

the upper one is possible also but you have to do some creative trunk modding (two holes through the matting and behind the seats where it covers the strut towers.)

I remember last time this was all brought up, EricL wrote an essay about the ups and downs of an overly stiff chasis and how it might be better to just leave the rear alone (but I might be putting words in his mouth with that last bit?).

I don’t think it would be a problem as long as you have all the “standard” OBX install tools.
You know…. Sledgehammer, drill with oversized bits, pry bar & installation guy with a huge pair of biceps.

Oops, don’t forget the touchup paint if the coating flakes off.

That's B.S. I installed my OBX headers w/o a single problem! No need for a sledgehammer, pry bar, or drills. I don't know what happened with the sets that people had problems installing. I haven't had any problems....and didn't spend $1000+ for headers.

Install kit:

RBSH -> really big sledge hammer

AND (don't forget)

AND (for the extra special fit)

The Cusco fits, Astro has one on his TL.

I still say it isn’t as effective as the Neuspeed design.

Let's see how the Cusco does before we jump to conclusions . I see where your coming from Shawn, I currently have the Neuspeed strut bar...let's see how the Cusco does and then we'll flame it. I wish Astro would come in and tell us his impressions of it...i'm very curious.

Shawn, I don't know that just becaue it fits on the TL, it would fit on the CL. I'd love to jump to conclusions and buy it, but I don't want to buy something that won't fit.

If anyone can confirm that it fits the CL, lemme know, and I'll do a write up the second it gets installed.

Well, the CL, TL & Accord V6 all use the same Neuspeed bar, so I’m 99.9% sure it’s gonna fit.

i wouldn't buy shit from OBX. Low quality crap.

Oh and all you jokers talking about not wanting to spend a grand on headers will be singing another tune with these cheapo pipes rust through and/or crack....

For every successful install there has been atleast 2 stories of holes not being large enough, the coating chipping off, dents on one of the primaries, dents on all three primaries, UNWELDED primaries, missing gaskets etc., etc.,

Name ONE comptech install that has had ANY of the above mention problems.

I would consider the lower rear lower tie bar. if it fits 100%. I always like how they look from the rear, esp the DC Sport ones

And if they ever do rust or crack, I will buy and install another set........and it still won't cost me $1000+ .:pfawk: :pfawk: :pfawk: :pfawk: :pfawk: :pfawk:

I hate how people flame OBX becuase they went out and spent over a thousand bucks on the same thing thats now available for $300-$400. Yeah there have been some stories about install problems, but then again, some of Comptech's first batches also had many flaws......and they were specifically designed for the CL.

If I’m not mistaken, most, if not ALL of those have been determined to be from improper installations.
They were people that didn’t want to shell out the $$$$ to have them installed at an Acura dealer.

No actually i probably make alot less money than alot of people on this board but when i do spend my money I spend it on a product that has a proven record. If i don't have the money for it then i will save for it. Some shit you can't nickle and dime.

WiLd~CL~TYPS-@SS,
Comptech springs are squeaking becuase they weren't properly lubricated when the installation was done.

All obx header fans,
Bashing. Why is simply pointing out the MANY and i mean MANY flaws in cheap product, bashing?????? This thread was started to show the other products that OBX makes. I stated that after the POS headers that have been sold to many customers on this board, I wouldn't give OBX any of my money.

I got an idea. Why don't we take all the fustrated comptech loyals and create a thread so you guys can get all of your bashing/flaming out. Due time, obx quality should get better. I hope they mimic every damn thing comptech makes. Therefore, with little money we will have a nice handling and faster car. Dynos and track runs already prove that obx can handle there own. Jims 1/4 runs PROVE that in everyway. He is running 6spd times of what scalbert is running. Bash on, we will mod our cars now, and you comptech loyals can keep saving and saving and saving. I for one, WILL NOT put a whole lot of money into a car that I will get rid of in a year or two. IMO :P If your keeping the car for five or more years then comptech would be choice. Having to pay the price for comptech parts and having to uninstall them when it's time to trade the car in or sell it , is way too much $$$$$. I am glad you guys got $$$$$ like that.

Nashua, I think it's time for another group buy!
