OBX Headers, pics
So as a few of you guy that helped me know, I got new headers. Here are some pics of the product and what it looks like installed, very pleased with the performance and under-hood look of these

And finally here is a pic of the quality of the header, impressive for 300 if you ask me, notice smoothed out flanges and interior and also take note of the welds

Got em off ebay through a seller named dailod I believe, its all authentic came with papers and everything. Plust obx is stamped into my rear header. Beware of gaskets though I had a problem with one of them, but the seller seems to be helpful with it. They carry a lifetime warranty from defect.
Nah i love Ebay, I always trust it. Just make sure seller is reputable
yeah rich finally got gaskets today, re-tightened the right way and so far so good no leaks....man what a relief to have a car again

Self installed, cost I am pretty sure would be a around 150 to 200 by a mechanic since they have the right tools. It took me about 4 days to get it all said an done but I was extremely sick and I had to cut parts of my old header off to et it off due to some bolts stripped
Overall Im very pleased with these, at idle car sounds completely stock. When you open it up it almost has this low grumble, i love it.

Fitment problem I believe was mainly an error on my part, I tightened everything ass backwards which caused a leak I believe. I got my new gaskets yesterday and tightened it up in sequence and I haven't had a single problem since...except being out of gas from driving it around all day and not getting paid till later
you can make them work...there was a thread a while ago where someone put the bend (required for 6speeds) into a header made for the auto.
FYI: The rear header has a kink in the pipe right where it bolts to the engine (drivers side?) to make it around the rear engine mount.

you had these on for a couple of weeks now.Now what do you think about them.
I'm thinking about getting a set tonight or start buying pieces for the 09 mani setup.Headers can go on now, mani would have to wait since I would not have all the funds for all parts.
So let me know how you feel about them as soon as you see this.

I'm wanting both NOW.but can only afford the headers right now.
I have a set of lower runners, the spacer like rajca, and with the 09 manifold,I'm sure would give me more hp ported and polished.I would only have enough for the manifold and the TB adapter.Althou I would have all pieces needed to get everything started I don't have the funds to complete right now.
The headers can go on and make power right away.
I just want this and that and everything now.
feel like my brain is running in circles
I have a window open to buy the headers and one open for the manifold...

yes for my header install I re-used the header gaskets and it worked perfectly.... buying new ones is a waste and can still cause a leak if u can believe it... the old one seat better to the block.
I also did everything by hand without a tq wrench and still ZERO problems.. car is clean sounding a deep when i throttle it.
Since I wrapped the shit outta my headers and they're CT there's no hissing or anything noise since muffles the sound out. also the header wrap prevents rattles. if the fitment isn't exact under where the oil pan is. it may just touch and header wrap would ensure you don't have a nice phat rattle.

Sorry for the late response, just realized that this thread was brought back to life. Well its been about a month now and I love them, the car really pulls from a roll now and you can tell the power is there. Im not sure if I have a leak or not but I can lightly hear the pulse of the engine with the windows down when I floor it, it may be just because of the thinner walls. I personally think they were worth it completely, the only regret I have is that they do not use stock compression gaskets but rather full flange gaskets only purchasable from obx.
Watch yourself when you install these richardparker, its going to be a pain to get the old stuff off trust me. I ended up having to take the whole thing off in pieces as-in go under the car with a saw zaw and hack away. Despite being heated with no effect and then doused in wd-40 some bolts still stripped, and a-pipe to cat bolts? forget it. I ended up taking my entire exhaust off so that i could re-drill the holes because I had to cut the bolts off.
Also they do not include an a-pipe to cat gasket, I made one from copper gasket maker but that could also be where my leak is from. There is a guy on ebay that sells the full gasket set that also includes that one but its like 25$

if you got like 60K mile on her you SHOULD be able to crack everything by hand. (maybe my car was taken well care of for the mileage but I doubt it.).. I was able to do everything in 1hr and 45 mins. Started by cracking off the J pipe, then the stock header/manifolds... Push hard on the socket when you crank off the bolts to make 100% sure you don't get lucky and strip one... I almost did on the rear header.
FYI i'm like 5'7 and 155lbs so when installing the CT headers i did all the bolt work for the headers on the top of the motor... EAZY as pie... 3-4 mins for the front, and like 5-7 for the rear
Just thread the whole nut on the bolts and do not tighten anything!!!!, or else the J pipe will be a bitch to line everything up. Then I did the J pipe.. and once all the bolts and gaskets were lined up. THEN i cranked everything together starting with the front header, then the rear header (did it from to the top of the engine bay, laying on my motor LOL) then went under the car and reefed the J-pipe to the manifolds and the cat, and it's been mint ever since.
I used lock washers on the J-pipe to manifold connections to make sure I don't have an issue down the road.
But all in all I thought it would have been harder.
Oh and B4 I began... I cracked on bolt off each header and manifold and the CAT, to MAKE SURE i could do everything by hand. A lil scouting can save you major headaches.
So I made sure everything was gonna go smoothly b4 diving into it. Last thing you wanna have is create a problem while trying to make ur car better. That when you wanna kick urself in the head.

My car is a NC car and probally see's snow 2 times a year if that.
So I'm hoping it wont be to hard .
The only thing I hate about doing exhaust work is I always end up losing some skin.

The OBX headers are great until they crack and begin to resonate constantly, you get what you pay for.
I had two sets of these and both gave me nothing but problems, over time you will end up with an issue.

Yea I smashed my finger right as I was jacking up the car... did it with my left hand (why I dunno, I'm right handed) in a hurry and the bar slipped out and I didn't notice cause this happened as I was puching down and crushed my pinky between the interlock stone and bar.
Finally looks normal now... took 2 months! so my whole header install I did while icing my pinky whenever I could.
The things we do for HP... love it

Haha you're not the only it still looks like I went emotional and slit my wrists, i can't remember how i did it but my hand slipped and I gashed it all the way down right by my veins.
It took me as long as it did because the day I started the install I became deathly ill, and when I get sick im completely outta commision so everything went real slow since I could hardly concentrate on what I was doing.
