Just buy them from Autozone or whatever parts store you go to.

Go to Autozone, pick up a two pack of spark plug defoulers. Drill out the bottom of one of them (someone help me out, I forgot what size drill bit) and screw the modded defouler into the other unmodded defouler. That now screws into the secondary (rear) O2 bung and the O2 sensor goes into that. No more CEL.

i need to do this. I get a code every 2 months or so. how come you can't use one defouler?? All i know is that it gets the o2 sensor out of the direct exhaust flow and that somehow makes the CEL go away?

1/2" sounds about right.

Gnuts - It doesnt matter, just as long as the secondary O2 is out of the exhaust stream. That O2 just acts as a sniffer, it doesnt control anything, just makes sure the cat is doing its job.

Any more info or instructions on this? I don't need to pass any testing, but the "check emission system" light comes on sporadically on my 2007 MDX and is annoying as hell.

what code is being thrown? is it for the 3rd cat or one of the primary sensors? If it's for one of the primary sensors then you should replace those.

there's no instruction needed. remove the sensor, screw on the defouler, screw sensor back in.
