I was curious as to how much the stock NSX calipers run:

http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal

$442 for each side for the fronts!

http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no

$443 for each side for the fronts!

Don't know how legit the company is but found another site that sells oem parts:

http://www.hondapartsunlimited.com/scacura/jsp/home.jsp

P.S. They have the NSX calipers for $406 each.

That's nuts. I got my pair for about $350. And they were in great shape. They had just been rebuilt.

Do you mean calipers? I believe it's the 93 to 95 calipers from the Legend Coupe. The rotors you will need will be the stock CL rotors.

Would putting NSX Callipers on the CL, and painting them to show the NSX letters in white be stupid? I mean, it's not like the CL is an NSX, but still its like having that racing name, and they are off of an NSX, why not???

Hell, my CLS6 keeps up with the older NSX, and I'm sure is a lot more comfortable to drive (not that I wouldn't worship an NSX if I drove one ), but the CL's design was based off the NSX / 2 door Legend. It pretty much is the replacement 2 door Legend (Which I would stil to...)

Yes, i tried the swap, i used frozen rotors and the legend coupe calipers. i have had them for over 8 months. way bettter than stock.
They will still warp though but since i used slotted frozen rotors in frnt and cross drilled power slot & napa cermics pads. its taking a while. I think cost me abt less than $500 bucks.

Ok this is the second time i'm hearing this, why do the rotors warp faster with the better calipers?

Are you hard on your brakes? Or is there something I'm completely missing and upgrading the caliper will simply warp the rotors faster in general?

I am going with the slotted rotors with the 95' Legend Gs Calipers. I wold be interested to know why the rotors warp fast too? Is it the weight of the car because the CL is a fuckin' boat

That's news to me. I was under the impression that these calipers would greatly reduce warping.

My rotors were perfect when I took them off. And that was from a fair amount of driving in the city.

The pads were worn, but I brake a lot when I'm in NYC.

If you get the Rotora Slotted, they are less likely to warp.

those are new calipers. pick up a set of reman nsx calipers from your local parts store - much cheaper.

a1 cardone part #19-1616 left and 19-1617 right (100.94 ea, 50 core) is what I used. about $200 for the pair, without brackets.

I just purchased two front Legend LS calipers from Advanced Auto Parts for $170 including a $50 core. Not sure how much the NSX calipers would run, I didn't ask.

Cash on return, put on parts that can be rebuilt. On second thought, since these are NSX calipers being talked about, there will be a big difference in appearance to our stock calipers. I said earlier that they won't notice, but that may not be true with the NSX calipers.

they dont warp faster, the still warp however . Then remenber the upgrade provoides for beta surface contact and i admit i was hard on them but they still all in all performed better than stockies.

They will rebuild the cores... if you bring in the old calipers (the cores) they give you $50, if you don't, they keep your $50.
