Your asking for advice right? My advice is don't get the nos yet. It's obvious that you aren't that knowledgeable about nos and how it works. Be patient learn about what it does and the risks and hazards of nos. You can definitely blow your motor if you don't know what your doing or if the nos is not installed correctly. I think you should first buy a cai. So that in the future if you do buy a nos kit you can just tap the cai pipe instead of tapping into your stock intake assembly.

You asked for advice, so thats my 2 cents.

BTW, I hope i'm not sounding condescending. I just wouldn't want to see a board member blow his/her motor due to impulsiveness. Think about it first then make an educated decision about it later. If your really adamant about going with nos, hit me up on my email. I'll see if I can answer some of your questions. I've seen and experienced the pros and the cons of nos. CLPOWER also has a pretty good grasp of NOS.

Say NO to Nos!! That is if you want to keep your car for awhile. I'd stay with the CAI & headers!!!

Does any1 u know have proof of improed times w/ the CAI and headers. my friend said it might only give me high end power, i want 0-60 power. Hope that helps.

When I just had my headers I raced a stock CLS. By 60 I had 1.5 to 2 cars and by 90 it was 3 or 4 car lengths.
Come to SD this weekend and I'll show you what headers and a cai will do for your car.

Yes the topic was already addressed, but i keep getting freaked out b/c i have some people saying it wont do shit for my car. And others say its the best thing. And then I race a car w/ AEM CAI and beat it, so excuse me, I am just a little confused right now. I hope u understand that i do not want to make a 1500 dollar mistake.

Let me put it this way. I was running a 1/4 mile time of 15.1 -15.2. After I installed my CAI I was running 14.6 - 14.7. The CAI is going to make big difference.

Why don't you just buy the cai first. Put the cai on and race the same guy that you beat before. Race again and see what the outcome is. If you are not satisfied with the results sell the cai. Just don't expect way too much from a cai though, keep in mind that its not forced induction or nos, but it's a good starting point. I'm sure you will be able to sell it for close to what you bought it for, if you are not satisfied. The cai is very easy to install and uninstall. That way you won't get stuck with something you don't want. The headers are a little tricky though. I'm not sure if you would be able to install and uninstall that yourself. Plus the headers cost a lot more.

Don't worry about your confusion. There are several people on the board that have done the mods and I believe most are satisfied with them.

wished you lived near me so I can show you...because the headers and CAI together dramatically increases the performance of our Type S...Get that and if not satisfied go with the NOS..

get the headers and cai. if you dont like, sell them. you can probably get up to the price you payed for them each on this board. or maybe like a hundred less or something.
