Normally don't post these...

but this guy on www.clubwrx.net was just TOO annoying. Apparently he bought a RSX and now hates it after driving a friends WRX yesterday. He has posted OVER 30 posts today, his first day on that forum. Just about every posts says the RSX sucks and the WRX is the best car ever. I do like the WRX, but there are other great options too. Here is a post where he says the CL-S is NOT fast at all. Take a look:

I honestly didn't care until EVERY SINGLE post had a reply from him. All the posts from him about the same, every car sucks, WRX rules. Just gets old after a while.

I can't wait to race my bud with a Cobb Spec WRX Wagon. He's puttin' out like 290 hp at the crank (as opposed to 227 at the crank) He should rip me a new one in 0-60.

well said...I checked out that thread and it was a bunch of wrx owners flaming other cars and patting each other on the back...I can go 0-60 faster than most cars on a 2k dollar motorcycle (yes, even the 'almighty' wrx) but who f'ing cares...thats not why i bought my CLS. If I wanted an ugly subaru with a cheap plasticky interior that runs like a bat out of hell 0-60 then i would have bought one.

Or you can buy both of them and have the best of both worlds.:P

and as far as the ugly chick remark is concerned, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I don't think my chick looks half bad.

JDM Style in the house babieee!!

I don't know if I like the headlights you got there, but that is the first WRX Wagon I have seen that I really like. Good job.

Thanks,
Here are some better pics of the lights. The first pic is with the JUN eyelids which just go on top of the stock headlights. The second pic is with the JDM projectors. I kinda like the JUN eyelids better, but I waited almost two months for the projectors so I guess I'll stick with them. Either way, I think they look better than the stock bugeyed look. IMHO

Not yet, but I'll take a couple soon. Nothing too special in there though. It's mostly stock inside there, besides all of the aftermarket electronics.

Normally, I don't like the eyelids, but in the case of the WRX, I think it works perfectly. It lines up perfectly with the line of the hood. I think the eyelids look best in your case.

2001AudiS4,

any pics of your s4? what color is it? any mods? s4's are nice cars, I've grown to appreciate them more as of late. I'm currently considering purchasing one, which is an absolute turnaround from a couple of months ago. I have a fondness for awd turbocharged vehicles. Easy moddability and traction for days.

Beautiful ride blxmjx. I like the eyelids better also.

I run into a debadged silver Wagon S4 on the way to work at least 2 times a week. We're always going at everytime we run into each other. I've never stopped to chit chat with him though. I'm no contest for that guy, but its always fun.

Hey, isn't the S4 discontinued (at least for now?) If it is true, then that sucks. I really like 'em.

Lookin good. Good call though, spend the cash on something that will appreciate in value as opposed to an automobile that automatically depreciates (in most cases) the minute you take it off the lot. Good luck with the house bro.

Aaron, STFU!! You're not supposed to rub it in. You're supposed to say, "man those jdm projectors look hella tight on your wagon." I waited a hella long time and spent quite a bit of coin on those sucka's.

Ya, the current s4 is discontinued. Unfortunately, from what I've heard they are planning to put a naturally aspirated v8 with something like 340-350hp for the next generation S4. I personally prefer the Biturbo V6 platform.

Arnold, I like the projectors better than the eyelids or the stock look...
your car is simply beautiful, I've said it before!

My Porsche mechanic has an S4 with bigger turbos, intercoolers, brakes etc...he is putting down about 450AWHP with that beast, let me tell you, it's a SICK car to build up, but like your projector headlights, nothing is cheap!

I hope to make it out to Cali this summer, hopefully we can meet up and you can take me for a ride

i've heard great things bout the WRX stick but my friend has a WRX auto (they dont make hardly any) and he got wasted by numerous cars that would have otherwise been blown away. maybe its a bad driver but i've heard bad things speed wise from the auto.

Robb, thanks for the positive reinforcement.

Damn that S4 sounds sick!!

For sure man, just let me know when you are in town. I'm sure we can setup a meet when you are in town. I'll let you try her out, shouldn't be anything special to you though. Since you've got that insane ass porsche turbo. I should have a lot more goodies in by summertime though, it should be pretty fun by then.

well, I prolly won't have a license when I'm there...unless I can apply for a resident cali license somehow...hehe...
I've lost my CDN license for 12 months cuz I drive too fast...LOL
the next time I drive my Porsche, I should be well over 600HP, but that's a different story...

Your WRX is a lot lighter, and very good looking, same bug eye headlights as mine
Not to mention its FRONT motor...hehe

I'll keep you posted, I may drag my TL out on a trailer if there is any money to be won @ any shows...

That S4 is absolutely sick...I think the stock rims look better on it than the ones you got on...
You need to put the LLtek-Rieger bodykit on it, a GIAC or APR chip
and a Brullen cat back...You will have a sleeper

The rims are merely the winter rims with Blizzaks. I will be putting the stock on soon. I don't think I will be modding the car anytime soon, as I will be spending money on modding my house first. Seriously, the people that lived here before had the WORST taste. EVERYTHING was olive green. I would love to mod the S4 though, would be such a blast to drive.

Well, I guess the house is more important...
But, first chance you get put a chip in it, I promise you it will be the best 500 bucks you ever spent on a car....
Your S4 is gonna feel like a completely different car...
Man, I wish our cars came with a bi-turbo...and I dont think I am the only one here.

Re: Normally don't post these...

The topic starter in that thread is a curious fellow. He counters automotive stupidity with even more pronounced immaturity and machismo.

Some facts: Have a look at these interior shots of the WRX (One of these is actually an "Official Press Photo!" And one of them I stole from some poor bastard on eBay. I'll let you guess which is which):

I had a hell of a time finding those; apparently Subaru doesn't like showing the public what they're getting into. They keep to what will sell the car, which is its dominant performance. Those are the best shots I could find. For comparison, here is the CL Type-S:

Some Opinions: I don't care if it will beat my car. You get what you pay for, that's why I bought my CL. It's superior overall to the WRX. However, the WRX (sedan) is clearly one of the top 5 cars in its price range.

Now I don't agree with this either. They both have their obvious strengths. The interior in the WRX is maybe a bit harsh compared to some other cars, but it is actually a pretty nice, sporty interior. I fully enjoyed riding in my friends WRX (before he moved ). The WRX and the CL-S/TL-S are obviously in completely different classes, not just on luxury, but for overall purpose. I don't know if I will be flamed for saying I don't think the CL is superior to a WRX, but I hope I make my point clear. I would take either car and be equally as happy with either, each one having its own strengths.

I totally agree with you here. The CLS can't be truly compared to the WRX, they are totally different cars and meant for different things. The CLS is a great luxury cruiser with a lot of bang for the buck. The ride in the cls is great and the interior surfaces are top notch. The cls engine is smooth with great all around power throughout the powerband. There are also some flaws though. Handling in the CLS is heavy and boatlike, which it actually is. There are numerous squeaks and vibrations, too much imho for a car in this class. The paint is also subpar for a car in this price range. The slushbox that was previously the only option is not the optimal transmission of choice for true spirited driving. The wrx on the other hand is much less refined than the CLS which is by design. Keep in mind that the WRX is a lot cheaper also. The ride in the wrx is a lot harsher and much more sporty especially when paired with a pair of sways, springs and adjustables. The power is great especially off the line. When modded the power improves substantially especially in the upper ranges. The interior is indeed plasticy and is nowhere near the level of the CL. The paint on the subaru pretty much sucks as bad as the cl's.

There are indeed tradeoffs between the two cars. The big thing I like about the wrx is the trememdous aftermarket support that is available. The CLS gets virtually none. I personally think that the Audi S4 has a lot of the advantages of both cars, turbocharged awd with luxury amenities.

You're not selling the WRX very well, at least not to me.
