I've never had anyone check under the hood before when I did a smog check, but then again, my other car is an isuzu rodeo and before that I had cars that no one would want to modify! I was just hoping to see if anyone had actually done it. Thanks for the reply Fuzzy!

So i'm getting back into modding my CL again since I've decided to keep it.

No reported problems on these headers? Zero? And they will fit my 6-Speed?

They will fit. I've only installed one set, but the ones I put on had decent welds. The only thing was I had to wrestle with them a tad to get everything to line up, but other than that they seemed fine. The included hardware sucks but for 15-20 bucks you can get decent bolts and gaskets.

So if it were you making the purchase (since I value your opinion) would you look for a used set of CT's for ~$5-600 or would you just purchase a set of the XS pipes?

Yeah, I wouldn't have much of a problem getting the XS headers. I was a big Comptech proponent in the past, but that was when the alternative was Megan headers which are crap and the DC headers had that dumb 2 bolt flange design.

Ok, so i've read all 12 frickin pages.. has no one wrapped these headers? It might help with the cold start noises, and maybe even help HP gains...

I think i'll be getting these, i have a pre-owned warranty til 100k on the motor but, i am getting the itch to mod the car somehow... and since this is a fairly safe way to do so...well i havent completely convinced myself yet.

Does anyone in the BALTIMORE area have these, if so, can i come check em out???

JProy got auto headers working on the 6MT. All you have to do is grind some of the rear mount bracket.

Bringing this back from the dead, for 2013.. no more XS, what's the alternative besides grinding the motor mount bracket?
