Noisy?

I don't know about you guys, but my car is making a constant and loud noise under the hood. I can hear it CLEARLY when its idle. Its like a "click click click click click" sound. Is this normal for our car? If not what could this be? Any help would be great, thanks!

It could be noisy valves, or you could have a bad purge solenoid valve. The PSV is easier to fix than a valve adjustment. If you search the forums for "purge solenoid valve" or "ticking" you might find some useful posts.

Off topic--I saw your pics in the photo gallery, nice ride man. Maybe I'll see you around

If it's near the drivers side firewall then it's the purge valve.

well I heard if you think the purge solenoid valve you can touch it or move it a little to see if the noise gets louder, so I tried it and it didnt make a difference. The sound is not coming from that. I do hear it right where the engine is, under the engine cover. Anyone else have this sound near there? Are those my valves?

Just curious, how many miles do you have? Did the noise just start out of the blue all at once, or do you think it slowly came on louder and louder?

Don't know to much about the J32A2 (or 1) but could it be an injector? Anyone?

I've had cars in the past with really loud injectors.
