Nice even race with an M5
Last weekend an older gen M5 (400hp V8) was trying to get me to race. I finally obliged, and dropped it down into 2nd at about 45mph (nice spot), and gunned it. I got the jump, but he was ready. He stayed right next to me all the way to the top of 3rd gear (100mph). I then let off, and was lucky to, cuz a cop wasnt too much further up.
So yeah didnt beat him, but he didnt pull any on my once he floored it, so yeah.
BTW this was in my Cobra, no f'in way I'd even attempt a race with one in my CL-S

Not until next spring most likely.
Its tuned REALLY rich right now, since it still has a fuel system setup for a blower, and its NA right now. If I were to guess its probably putting down ~ 325rwhp/370rwtq, and it could be closer to 350rwhp if I tuned it better. I mean you can see the unburnt fuel coming out of the exhaust.

That sounds about right if you were pacing an M5...though you seem to have gobs more torque. The gearing on the M cars is pretty good and keeps 'em nicely in the powerband. You should be trapping about 104-106mph in the 1/4. The blower will be insane!

I raced one coming down from the mountain last spring. 80-115 he put 2-3 cars on me. 0-80 would have been a different story.

Well I didnt put my 1/4 time in my sig because it was a pretty bad outing, but yeah it ran 105-107mph on every pass. I dont have good enough tires (315 nitto dr's, not enough sidewall), and my susp is really stiff so I get NO weight transfer. My best 60' was a crappy 2.1, and that was with a ton of wheelhop. Best ET was 13.0 @ 106mph.
I really should be closer to 110mph & 12.5's with the 347 & better cam/heads/intake, but like I said its REALLY rich, and I dont have the knowledge with the Tweecer yet to get it tuned right.
With the blower I'm planning on running 12-14psi, or so. If I can tune it good it should be good for about 500-525rwhp, and POSSIBLY touch 10'sif I can get traction and not blow anything up

No, it was the V8 M5, not the new V10.
My Cobra is NA right now, and making prob about 350hp or so, so I wont be walking a 400hp m5, let alone keeping up with a 500hp one. Next spring will be a diff story tho when I put the blower on.
