have they fixed the design flaw in the transmission? if they did, it seems it would be benifial for your tranny to go out before the 100k...

Some thoughts...
Copland007 had a transmission replaced within the last month (or so). And, it was supposed to have the "new fixes" in the transmission. It failed after only 512 miles.
So:
Is this the same transmission that they put in the newer 2003 models (but just rebuilt)?
IMO, there are still some questions that need to be answered.

It might be some time lag before we will see the new redesigned transmissions being put.

The press release says:
2000 - 2001 Honda Accord, Odyssey and Prelude
2000 - 2002 and some 2003 Acura 3.2 TL
2001 - 2002 and some 2003 Acura 3.2 CL
So judging from that, the 5-speed trannies are the SAME! (except for the later make 2003 CL's and TL's)
I'm willing to bet that the early 2003 runs were just 2002's
*Some* 2003 CL's would exclude the 6speeders...
