New Shifter Mod

So I finally finished I was looking at the thread a while ago about shifter noobs and I decided I wanted to do my own shifter noob so.

I took somones Idea of painting the back of the type S a little further and I decided because my car is black and if I painted it black it would not look that great(but I love the orange I forget this member screen name but it looks sick)

So I unscrewed the noob took the longest time it was super tight.

Once I got it off I popped the Type S LOGO off and fogged out the back of it ( some may know where im going with this.

Next I unscrewed the piece of plastic inside the shifter noob.

I drilled out a little

then I drilled a whole on an angle in the back of the noob closest to the radio.

And here it is I put an led in the hole and fed the wire through the shifter in to the hole I made. now you can see the wire even though I super glued behind the shifter but only when you tilt your head forward I cant even see it when im driving and im looking for it.

any ways I will have some pics up this weekend

Of the TYPE S ON THE SHIFTER ILLUMINTATED

Its not a compass

Its a volt meter in a custom mount, I made room for oil pressure gauge on top and im doing the same mount on the other side for oil temp and trans temp. Im justing waiting for gauges to go on sale

BTW this mount is super tight ie.doesnt move and when I take it out it looks like there was nothing there!!

I think this might actually look good. Wasn't a fan of the blue halos, but this sounds pretty cool. Guess we'll see with the night pics

i mean the pic you took makes the shifter look frosted/white.
i perfer the stock look on your car.
WDP is the color code for white, in thats case your frosted shifter would have matched the car.

i would put a diffuser between the type S logo and the bulb, any of that bathroom light diffuser, it will make the bulb less visible and cleaner i think, but good job

I used it when I cleared my tails for my prelude. It's a "textured" (angular) plastic sheeting that is opaque/translucent for overtop of light fixtures. I'll try and find a pic of it on my prelude lights
