New Shift Knob Advice Needed

OK- just got the Momo Shot Silver Carbon and the Momo black perf. boot. Any advice on the install before I go home and spend the night in the garage?

Thanks.

Do a 30-day search on “momo” and read the several posts in the last two weeks by me and others.

The only thing I changed since then is the silver rectangular trim piece kept coming loose on me.
I ended up making four small 1/2” long slices in the momo boot just above the elastic band.
The cuts align with the “tabs” on the inner piece that the end of the boot wraps around.
These cuts allowed the boot to fit tighter and the trim piece to “seat” in there better.
Sorry, no new photos because it’s holding pretty good and I don’t want to rip it apart again.

I know this probably sounds confusing, but you’ll know what I’m talking about once you take it apart.

Read the other posts and ask again of you still have questions.

BTW.....My original thread got sent off to RAMBLINGS after the conversation turned into an argument.
There’s still some good info in there though if you ignore al the BS from Scooter.

Here’s that link:
