New rims, painted brake calipers...

I bough Lou's set of 17" SSR Comps, with Pilot Sport A/S tires. Thanks Lou!
Like them so far. While I don't need all seasons in FL,(I'd rather have some Toyo T1's) these tires are good. They are QUIET. Haven't pushed the car yet, it's been raining all weekend in FL. I weighted my stock rim/Toyo setup at 50lbs. The new setup weighs only 38lbs! That's a 12lbs difference per wheel My but dnyo says the car is a little quicker. While I was at it, I painted my stock calipers black. Just using Black brake caliper paint from PepBoys. Nothing special just cleaned them, taped off the rotor & sprayed 3 coats on. I also have my SS brake lines going in today. Also got a new digital camara so I just had to test it out ...

I think those wheels and some Toyos T1s you will be getting some sick ass times when you go to the track. The tires are basically brand new so please dont give them away they only have top 8K miles on them and they have 400 treadwear meaning they should last.

the shipping weight with the cardboard boxes around and all weighed barely over 40 lbs and some even less...so it doesnt surprise me that they are 38 lbs. with 35lbs. of air.

by the way the tires are directional and they're great in the rain and extremely quiet even with miles on the tires very different from the toyos

Im happy you like them and hope you take care of them...oh yea did you mail out that check yet

oh and fuzzy by the way these wheels have eough clearance for the Brembo Gran Tursimo brake kit 12.9 and even 13.1 when your ready and boy will you feel the braking difference.
