new purchase

so I had been wanting to do this mod for a while, and was just browsing around on ebay and came across these:

they're puddle lights off of a late 90's range rover.

I'm going to wire them up to either the door/dome lamp, and when I finish my TL side skirts (since they're not actually molded to the stock skirt yet) I'm going to install these.

Since I'm not doing anything for spring break (being in debt enough as is) I'm going to try and get around to them next week.

I got a really good deal on them, and its better than paying 50+ bucks including shipping for the generic kits. Plus I think that all those little LED clusters underneath a coupe might be a little too overbearing. Although I do think it looks good for sedans, I think that these will provide useful lighting and also be a tasteful mod.

Anyways. I'll keep you guys updated, maybe do a write up, etc.

They are nothing like under glows....they come on only when you open your door to "SOFTLY" light up the area that you are stepping into. We have these on my wifes Land Rover.....if this is the route I think Evan is going!

whoa whoa whoa. its not underglow at all.

I dont even think these would provide enough light to come close to underglow.

puddle lamps are for underneath the door area when the door is OPENED ONLY in order to light up the ground so you know what you're stepping into. look at the picture i posted. does that even look like underglow? I said they were from a mid 90's range rover!

A guy on the TSX side has done them

http://video.google.com/googleplayer...84507613510&hl

anyways...should be receiving them early next week!
