New Honda OEM scan tool Clone

Check this new scan tool available for honda/acura vehicles.

http://www.aobd2shop.com/wholesale/h...stic-tool.html

The Honda HDS HIM diagnostic system is a general term for Honda's Diagnostic System. HIM is the specific OEM tool (Honda Interface Module) that is used by dealers. It can diagnose all Honda and Acura vehicle systems on models from 1992 to year 2006, including CAN-BUS system

Honda functions include:
• DTC reading and clearing
• Snapshot function (capture data relative to a trigger event)
• Vehicle data display (value, line graph, or bar graph formats)
• DLC locator diagrams
• Data list display (real-time display of ECU parameters)
• Onboard tutorial
• Generic scan tool runs basic tests on non-Honda/Acura vehicles (HDS Tablet and Pocket Tester only)
• Control module update functions (HDS Tablet and Pocket Tester only)

From the following review :
http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-d...view-info.html

I have successfully used the TPMS features, CKP relearn, idle relearn, ECU reset, and cleared DTS faults. I believe this thing can data log, reprogram gauge clusters, and reprogram the immobilizer for new keys, but have not tried these things yet.

This looks like an awesome ODB2 scanner and diagnostic tool to have. I currently use the Torque app via Bluetooth on my Android tablet but, this seems way more capable of diagnosing multiple on board systems.

Looks a lot more complicated than your typical scanner but if it does all that who cares, that's wicked

I can pull all the important stuff and data log with my $12 Bluetooth OBD-II dongle. All the other stuff that things offers is for people that don't know what they're doing around a car and need a tool to tell them what to do rather than being able to read the data already provided by any scan tool.

Nice!! Can you confirm that it can reprogram gauge clusters and key fobs?

what exactly does the "reprogram ecu" function do?

ie: change any parameters like Hondata?

No like programing the new ecu with your vinn so that the immoblizer will detect it. It can monitor the car parameter but cannot change them. It can reset CEL

Nevertheless the fact that this scan tool can check ABS and SRS systems is worth it for me just for that. Most scan tools can reset CEL and do basic functions but thats about it.

This particular scan tool is worth its weight in gold since it can save you a trip to the dealer.

This seems like a good thread to ask about the OBDII in my car.

How do I access the OBDII in my 2003 3.2CL? From my research, it's located under the coin tray... but I don't know how to get in there, unless I have to take the whole centre console off???

Any help would be appreciated. And yes, I searched first.
