New guy here

Hey what's up? I just bought an 03 3.2 CL. The car is very clean and all stock. It has 80,000 miles on it and drives great. I paid $11,100 in Miami FL. Good deal or not? Well I have owned a few other hondas and acuras but know nothing about this car. I will be needing tires in about 6 months and wonder what most recommend. I don't need the best but want a good ride. Any suggestions would be appreciated....

If it's not a type S that's a horrible deal. Sorry.

But welcome!

Welcome. Yes, it was a decent price. Tires depend a lot on what kind of driving you do. I've been very happy with Yokohama V4S' in the stock size for general all around use. Tire Rack has them if you can't find them locally.

idk, kbb and edmunds both value a 03 CL at around 13k so 11k doesn't sounds like a terrible deal.

OP, congrads on the purchases, i bet you'll love the car. its no legend BUT post some pics when u get a chance, we'd all lvoe to see em!!!

Welcome to Azine!! Post pics when you get a chance and I hope the car is a Type S. Watch out for the mod bug, once it strikes....kinda hard to get rid of....

Thanks for all the responses guys. It is just a base model no S. I didn't want something that was a gas hog. Also I'm old and this plenty of power for me. I don't see many mods in my future. I just wanted a decent, reliable car to drive. I am thinking of maybe getting some rims when I need tires in a few months but that should be it.

That just means you won't go through the mod budget quite as "fast".

Thanks. Yeah I am very happy with the purchase. Big improvement over a 98 Ford Taurus.

1.what kinda rims are those? never seen those before unless their stock CL-P rims.
2.And is that clip-on weights on a alloy?
3.I think fuel economy measurements are nearly identical for CL-P and CL-S
4.Take off that front bracket (and sell it to me, haha) unless you need to display your plate
5.Welcome!

Yep stock 16" clp wheels. And there's almost zero difference in fuel for CLP & CLS.

You should have gotten the S you would have been happier.

How so? He just wants a reliable car to drive. I'm happy with my CL-P and i mod it; getting faster and faster. probably won't be as fast as a Type S 6spd can be but ehh, if all i wanted was speed i'd a bought an S2000, which i might still do actually...

but anyhow, welcome to the forum man!

Let's not start this argument again. Sure we'd all love to have 6 gears and more HP, but i'm completely content with my CL-Pee. Welcome to AZ dude, enjoy the new ride.

5.Welcome!

1. I think they are just stock rims.
2. Yes they have clip on weights. Is that wrong? When I get tires I can have them changed.
3. Damn should have done more research but I don't thing I saw any CL-S this clean for the price.
4. It's yours. Don't need it.
5. Thanks....

Thanks for all the other welcomes guys. Yeah I very happy with my CL-P.

Alloys without a lip need sticky weights behind the spokes. But if they have that lip that's what they're designed for.

Goes into my "why did Acura make a P version" debate.

It's a nice car so if your happy with it that's what counts.

Well I feel old in this crowd. The average age seems to be 25. Anyway the car is running great and I am very happy with it. I haven't got the manual yet but is there any maintenance I need to look into with 81000 miles? I thought I read some where that these cars were maintenance free untill 100k besides the obvious (fluids and filters, tires and brakes).
