The question is it worth it? It 2 axis instead of 3 (Gtech Competition)....No nice big LCD. It has an add on module ($100)for to capture direct speed and engine rpm and 2 extran analogue channel O2 sensor and EGT or Boost signal or what ever you like to capture...

Interesting but we need someone to test it and report...

it may not be the best looking unit available but that price can't be beat for it's features. My G-Tech Pro cost more than that and it's only single-axis, doesn't have data logging, flash updateable firmware, temp compensation, etc. $115 looks like a good deal

Anyone noticed that Bel (radar detector company) also makes something very similar to the G-tech?

And there's another new one out there too.... I don't remember who makes it though..... might be the company that makes Escort/Passport radar detectors.

I've got the GTech Pro Competition. I've tried it before on my friend's 850 Turbo Volvo, and another friend's 330ci. It was VERY accurate on the Volvo. The hp/tq numbers were 1 hp off from what someone with another 850 dynoed in Fla. The times were right on the money.

My friend's 330 the hp numbers were exact compared to the dyno, 198 to the wheels.

Now as for quality, even the old G Meter had mounting issues. The custion cup and silicone legs that kept the mounting braket in place on the windshield would degrade rapidly and break or come off.

Now the new GTech Pro Competition has an issue with it's pillow ball. In the Competition there are three pieces the: meter itself, the mounting bracket, and the suction cup braket. Well the mounting braket that clips on to the meter has a pillow ball with a rubber surround that squeezes into the suction cup braket. That rubber surround has now cracked and peeled off, and has rendered it pretty much usless. Although I will say this, because the rubber surround is no more, it can now, almost, plug into one of the ribs in the A/C vents. Still won't solve the mounting problem, still I get poor numbers, but the eye candy is nice.
