i would start modding right of way but i am afraid once i start modding it then it will become unreliable. I was thinking about doing a couple of smaller bolt on things but nothing major.

the car has about 82k on it now and i have no idea if the tranmisison fluid has been change. recently i had a oil change and the guy said that my tranny fluid was filthy so i am assuming that the tranny fluid is a big deal on these cars. I called acura up to yesterday and i guess my car was never taken in for an inspection for the recall so i have to make an appointment for that too.

is your CL a Type S? and if so, how bad would you think the kraut burner would own the CL?

its just a cl but trust me the CL type S wouldn't have a chance either against the kraut burner. Right now with the boost not turned up it makes 300+rwhp and only weighs like 2800 pounds. The motor is getting completely redone during the spring as well as a paint job etc.. which it should be around 400rwhp++ easy

Yea the tranny is a big deal. A lot of guys on here have had some problems, but knock on wood I have not. I change my tranny fluid every other oil change to be safe. Just get acura to do the updates and you should be good. Good luck and enjoy here.

The AEM CAI is about $200 to $250. You can also go the route of the Comptech Icebox. I like those better. Looks more stock and doesn't sound as loud as the AEM.

And Welcome.

I have an Injen CAI that I got thru the Black Market for pretty cheap. Sounds mostly stock when you don't run it hard aside for the slight "hisss". The "hisss" is usually louder when the car is cold but once it warms up, it's not that noticable. When you nail the throttle and run it up thru vtec, the car sounds simply wicked. I also notice a bit of increased power and definitely better throttle response. I love it. Let me know if you want to check it out sometime. I could meet you in the Springs somewhere.

i will have to take u up on that offer sometime because i would like to hear what it sounds like. Update on my car i took it in for an inspection and the 2nd gear was discolored i guess so they ordered me a new tranny so the car is still up in colorado springs waiting for a tranny. Since i am not 25 they can't give me a loaner car so for now i am borrowing my parents cars.
