try ordering from the ssautochrome website. maybe you still can get it for 160 GL

 

Mine had the XS Power badge on the rear header lol I guess they finally figured out no one will ever see it back there and switched it.

 

Started some port and polish.

 

Got mine friday. They didn't have any xs power emblem welded to them at all, lol

 

Installed headers. Fitment was off. Car revs up faster and when I have my cutout on its louder and more deep.

 

Can you be alittle specific about what went wrong with fitment?
What exactly was off? And what did you do to make fot?
I am installing my new version xs headers saturday and your inout might just help it along alittle easier.

whats th edeal with the alcohol? so if you rub in alcohol they will NOT turn brownish?
and stay stainless shiny?

My fitment was great. Needed nothing.

Didi you use 10mm bolts or 8mm?

It cleans the oils from your hands off the pipes. The oil is what makes the pipe turn brown.

Regarding fitment, you have to leave everything loose first, then tighten it all down.

The header and the j pipe didnt really line up.

 

Were the headers loose when you installed the j pipe? You have to leave everything loose to get it to line up, then tighten it from top to bottom.

Well im having issues trying to contact.them. The header price changed to 330.00. After I order I havent heard back. I sent numerous emails.and.no response. Can someone help please.

 

Make a claim with the payment provider. If you payed via credit card, pull that shit out easy.

If you payed with paypal, then make a claim.

 

I was waiting two years for them to begin manufacturing these again because of the bargain. Now I'm too little too late to snag a deal, (again). $260. Overnight price hike. WTF.

I just received these from SS Autochrome. These ones you are describing are similar to the ones you get off ebay. Did it have XS Power badge?

No problems, just hard to get the 6 speed ones. Mine are holding up just fine. No issues so far, best friend owns the car now.

 

These look to still be available from the XS link posted on 1st page of thread. Whats the verdict on this product currently.

 

If you can find the ones with 1 flex pipe and the kink in the rear manifold piece to fit 6 speeds I would, if not stay away

Post #23. This guy is claiming to be a vendor for XS Power. So get in touch with him and let us know how your experience goes. As you can see, I have my reservations about the product/company/brand, but he seems to be making a good sell.

i just bought them 2 weeks ago. took about a week and a half to arrive. have not put them on yet, waiting for my full setup. only bad thing i have to say so far was i had no tracking or response from emails to the company. the product does look very nice and has the kink in the rear for the clearance and the welds are perfect. will update after install.

 

Should I go with xs turbo kit or piece one together with obx turbo headers? I know that they arent the best but, I want to start somewhere. Also I will most likely go over the welds. If anyone has problems with them contact them on acurazine. I just saw a post by xspower but who knows if they will respond. Good luck.

 

I was also thinking if you guys buy this http://www.ebay.com/itm/TURBO-MANIFO...&vxp=mtr#rpdId and just use the header and the oem j pipe im sure you will make some power. It still beats paying almost 300 for the header and j pipe that was once 125.

 

The kit should be OK if you make sure the welds are good, etc but the turbo included is junk so you'll want to buy something different.

Aftermarket headers won't fit on a stock J pipe and vice versa.

 

I know I'm bringing this post up from the dead but where did you guys get the 130$ price tag from? I'm assuming the price went back up to 260 since then?

 

Look at the dates from posts on the last two pages, they are from last year. I am also seeing that they are $260 now. Has anyone recently ordered theses, that can share their experience.

I almost submitted my order a couple days ago.... good thing i didn't because a day later my rack and pinion needed to be replaced.

I haven't been paying attention to the headers available, but just got another CL. The DC sports seem to have a bend to be compatible with 6 speeds, can anyone verify this?

 

The bend is not enough if you he dc sport headers you will have to grind the mount down
