New CL Type S on the block

Greetings Everyone,

I just purchased my very own 2003 3.2 CL Type S this weekend, very happy about that. I purchased it for 16.7K from a Honda dealership with 37,022 miles on it. Its Satin Silver color, immaculate and 6 speed. Didn't think I would have done it but I bought the car I want and before my birthday no less. Happy Birthday to me 9-11-78.

Here are a few things....can anyone give me a few pointers as to what needed accessories are required...

I'm currently looking for fog lights, spoiler, shift knob, remote entry remote, type S mats, aluminum door sils, type S decal, a grill, and i'll work on the wheels in a bit.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Yeah that's a bit cheap, even without nav that seems a bit low. I'd check that car out more.

I got my CL type S with 40K on the odo for 15K and the car had a clean title so that does not seem unreasonable of a price

OEM spoiler painted to match your car will run you about $5 bills. gold trim about $103 floor mats about $80 shipped, trim about $130

That's what they're going for... the price is a little low for retail, but not that far off. Have you checked the trade in values recently (edmunds, kbb, nada) ??

I've got 51K miles on my 6spd, and figure it's worth 14-15K (at most in trade) and maybe 17K in a private sale... That's why I can't see getting rid of it even tho' I thought I'd have it for 5 years or 15K trade in value which ever came first. It's been 4 years, so the diminished value came first Might as well drive it for a bit longer as most of the depreication is behind me.

Congrats on your purchase. I'm a TL owner, but I love the CL. I saw a super clean CL-S the other day on the freeway and I was just thinking how good the car really looks. I did a double take and I hope they come out with a coupe in the near future.

Thanks for all the Happy birthday wishes and YES the MODS are coming to town (philadelphia). I'm going to do this in phases....since winter is quickly approaching...probably drop the car a bit and add the rims on after the winter.

I like the 18 in MOTEGI TRACK Touge in Anthracite w/Mach Lip. I think it looks mighty impressive for the price.

I'll also probably put the kit on around March-April depending on whether the snow is away but there doesn't seem to be many kits for this except like 3 i've seen...bummer.

Anyways, i'll post pics as things start rolling along.

Take a look at the RonJon Kit. IMO, it's the best option for the CL. I usually tend to hate kits, but Rondy does a good job.

Any other performance mods? Intake, headers, suspension?

Welcome! The 6MT is a lot of fun to drive... you will love it! You might want to consider a torque damper as a mod... This will really help wheel hop and traction issues. If you drop be sure to do the camber adjustment mods...

Lots of great guys on this forum, so you will have no shortage of help

Cool...maybe i'll swing by some time to check out the ride.

Has anyone bought the illuminated door sills from SuperComputer?

I saw them today and they look super clean. I think this is a nice little touch for the car but I haven't seen any pictures of them in the CL. Just curious to know if anyone had them and could send me some pictures so I can have a visual of it. They are only about $170.00 and I probably order them anyways but wanted to see what they looked like in the car instead of what i'm mentally picturing.
