NEW CL Billet Grille
Luxury vehicles? As in the Chrysler 300C, the (four door) Charger? Let me know who orders one of these, I'll make sure to help them find some 35x15.50 Super Swamper's and a 3-inch body lift and a Rancho suspension lift...................We bought Acura for a reason...........

Ok....?
I am not trying to change why people bought Acura.
I am trying to get other manufacturers to make items for our model.
Only objective.

Everyone has their own opinion and while many here have said they don't like the look I think you just need to have an open mind and let this guy manufacture these grilles as another option to what's already out there. Someone will buy it because different people have different tastes and obviously those that don't like it won't buy it.
I'm not feeling it... My buddy has one on his F-250 and it I don't like it on cars/trucks/mini-vans whatever... Good work trying to get them to make it, and if you like it then fine, but I doubt the majority would buy one of these. Although its billet aluminum, it just does not look good w/the car IMO.

I just did a quick check on my computational fluid dynamics simulator, and if the ribs are closer together than about 7/8 inch, it blocks over 60% of the airflow over 55 mph.
Then I ran a check on my finite element analysis program, and discovered the ribs will likely resonate around 120-200 Hz, which could sound really annoying.
Then I did a quick check with the missus, and she said "They're really tacky, and don't you have anything better to spend our money on?"

*** Update ***
Okay, spoke with the owner to see what's going on with the progress.
Here is what he said.
Anybody that would be willing to drop their 2nd Gen CL off at his shop for 6 hours so they can take the dimensions will get a FREE grille when they pick up their CL.
FREE....!
I don't care if some members don't like it....sell it or something but can someone (if they live in the area) please bring their CL into the shop so he can take the dimensions.
You would be helping out some people who actually like the grille.

Well it doesn't make sense for me to ship my grille from San Francisco to Florida and then to have them ship it back if any members live in the area.

Just messing with you but maybe carbon fiber...why not if people want them.
I feel like I am sales associate for SSA but I just feel that if there is a vendor out there willing to make some items for the CL then let them do it.

This was a great opportunity to get new parts developed for our CL's and I am bummed out more members didn't help take advantage.
When is your last day Matt?
When is your last day Matt?
I PM'd this guy & informed him of the trouble with making a grill by the past experiences with grill tech & the other custom vendors we had that tried to make them.
I offered to send him a complete grill.
Never got an answer back.
For those wondering...
The problem is the inner/outer grill design. Whatever grill material used needs to be very thin or else the outer grill will not screw back onto the inner grill. It's held on with many little screws in plastic screw holders. They strip out very easily. Also, the grill is curved & would need to be cut all around just perfect to allow for the slots to align the 2 halves together.
I got the only remaining grill tech test grill on my car.(that I know of) & that was not a perfect fit by any means. I had to trim it & make it fit. That material is still too thick. I did strip a few holes, but enough of the holes remained to hold it in place.
If I ever need to take it apart I doubt I will be able to get it back together with the grill insert.
The CL grill just isn't a good platform for this. You would need a complete new grill design. The lower grill is part of the bumper, That would need a complete new redesign as well. And that is expensive.
If you really want a grill you can buy this one...

A few members have bought it. It seemed to fit fine.

There's always challenges and reasons things are difficult but it doesn't mean it can't be done. I'm sorry that this guy never got a chance to show what he could do . From what I've seen from other members that Ebay grill has fitament issues.
