New bypass valve
New bypass valve
sooooooooo, car sounded funny yesterday-haven't driven it in at least a few weeks. I shut it off, got out and see the AEM bypass valve had literally rotted apart. I had to order another one. Has this happened to anyone else? It was just busted apart like a dry rot. Oh well, 50 bucks down the drain I guess.
happened to a few people... the by-pass valve is just a mental thing... you really do not need it unless you plan on driving threw a river or large pond...
save your money and just get (2) 3 inch hose clamps and a 3inch by 3 inch rubber sleeve.

Luckily I saw it when I was cleaning the K&N filter and no parts were “ingested” into the engine.
I replaced it with a short section of rubber hose and I’ve been running fine for about a year now.
Sounds better too.
I do have a brand new AEM bypass valve sitting in a box that I would have sold real cheap.
Chief...What did you pay for the one you ordered? I need to get rid of mine.
Anyone need one…make me an offer.
I noticed the black plastic part under the foam on mine is broke in a few places. But the rubber piece under that seems to be in good condition. Only thing is it has lost some rigidity because of it. Shawn how much you want for that thing?
