New Accord specs. Doesn't look good for the CL

Well, I just got back from the local Honda dealer. My wife and I were looking at an '02 Accord.

I asked the salesdude if he knew anything about the '03.

This is what he said:

3.2 liter
240hp
6spd will be an option
Navigation will be an option
4 inches longer than current model
German styling; BMW looking he said
Going on sale Sept. 9

With everything it will top out around 27K or so...

Doesn't sound too good four the CL, does it?

Why would Honda blatantly say their car is a rip off of a BMW? Seems silly to me, wouldn't they want to be original? And if they weren't (original) why would they say that?

I've heard from several different sources that the V6 version of the next Accord would still be the current one, but I assume it to have more than 200hp.

Sounds like the description we heard back in November/December about the “NEW” 2003 CL.
All we got exterior wise was new headlights, taillights & slight trim modifications.

Can’t complain about the engine & Tranny though.

I seriously don't think they are going to keep the current accord for 2 more years. Their sales in dropping to new camry & altima.
my 0.2 cent

Take a look at the new August Car & Driver:
2003 Honda Accord Coupe... Mercedes Benz CL-style taillamps... 3.0L V6 output 'on par' with the 3.5L V6 engine in the Altima, which makes 240HP.

Most car salesman i talk to are dumbass'. If you ask em a question about the car they give you a god damn broshure and tell u to read it. Whenever i go to get my moms or dads car i know more about the car than the salesperson.

Either way, you should be able to add one of the Comptech superchargers
