Guys, I need a way to get a little bit more out of my ride without hurting it. I will be installing a HKS exhaust on next weekend which should help a little, but anything with the intake that I can do? I was looking for the resonator and didn't see it. Where is this located and how do you remove it?

 

I suggest very large decals or stickers. You can expect about 10hp/sq ft

So why do you need more HP by next weekend?

re resonator:

Follow your exhaust from the front (engine) to the back. When you see a device that looks like a muffler, thats the resonator. The resonator sits before your mufflers.

EDIT: Im talking about the wrong resonator... you meant intake... my bad

 

empty you trunk and anything else.... do no fill up... keep at 3 notches.

 

you'll access it from below the car...through the fender well or from the splash gaurd.order an K&N drop in for about 50$ and you'll have cai performance...

I raced a pullied GTP this weekend, that runs 14.4 at 99 mph. I barely edged him by a bumper. It was a setup race. He wants a rematch because his SC belt was slipping a little so he wasn't creating 10psi instead of 8 he was on. I will most likely need ever bit of hp I can muster. It was a 10mph race to 90 we were dead even for the longest time till about 75 when I started to creep past him.

 

Is this a proven mod to get more boost? Someone told me they did this and lost HP. Thanks.

 

I had a K&N before I got my CAI, and i honestly felt a difference when I put on the CAI... so I would say that's it's not equal to CAI gains, but that's just my opinion. I could have been brainwashed by the VTEC Growl :o
