Alright, as many of you know I got a new M3 with the SMG option and let me tell you its a potent car. Well, I was around my friendly giant food store showing my friend the car and how well it could take a turn. Well, I was showing him a 90 degree turn....anyways, I take the turn a little fast (but not too fast because its still in the break in period) and when I go to shift using the paddles I end up using the wiper instead. .... DOH! Well, this means I was still in 3rd gear at about 6k and the car was damn near sideways - luckily I was able to get control of it and head along my merry way when what do I see in my rear view mirror? Two flashing lights and a spotlight... shit its a cop. Alright, I am thinking I am fucked right now so I took off my seat belt becuse I feel like the whole car is getting smaller and I am sweating and whatnot --- oh dear.... Well, my friend was a little smarter than me and told me to put my belt on my hands on the wheel because cops usually look at that. So, back on goes the seatbelt and John T. Law 'En-forcement (its french I guess ) comes to my window and asks for my license and registration. Well, since I am an idiot I did not have my wallet with me and I had no clue where my registration was because it was a new car that I just got and all the paperwork was still a mess..... Well I told him this and he was like "ok, I pulled you over becacuse of how you were driving in the shopping center -- you got sideways on one of those turns..."..... Oh shit I am thinking.... quick, I hope my BS education does not fail me now.... "well, officer" I start to say "this is a new rear wheel drive car and I dont know how to shift it yet so I spun it because I was still in first.".... he looks at me again and shakes his head. DONT HEAD BACK TO THE CAR I AM THINKING! Well, he just looks at me and says "well , just be a little more careful this time" .... Holy shit!!!!! I could have been nabbed for a couple things 1) no front plate 2) wreckless driving 3) no license 4) no registration ......

Yeah mean, I totally lucked out - good thing I got the "Extra Luck" package from bimmer otherwise that would have been a multi ticket! And the cop was a ffx cop ... he pulled me over about a quarter mile from my house!

Hey Digital, congrat's I opted for the wait and OMG what a wait it is my dealer is talking Dec. right now . Anyways, be sure to break her in SLOWLY or you could do permanent damage. You have an O2' right? If you do, more reason to just be patient before you get crazy.

parking lots are private property,, no tickets can be given unless the city is under contract to patrol this lot.... FYI.... I think.....

 

Last Fri afternoon I'm driving to N. Falls to see a judge on a case for a 2 pm pre-trial and I'm runnin' late. I'm on N Falls Blvd, a 5 lane 50 mph road doing 65 in a zone marked "Safety Corridor" in flashing lights. I see the sign, I heard the warning on the radio, do I do anything? Fawk no. Instead I get hit w/ the laser from a hidden spot. I slam on the brakes and pull over b/c the cop is right next to me pulling out. I hand him my license he sez where ya going? I tell him. I also tell him I know his boss, investigators, fellow troopers, work w/ a trooper's son (and brother) yada, yada yada. He sez where'd you get the trooper window? I tell him my friend Investigator Randy. He sez slow down (motioning w/ hand) and sez have a good day. Phew, that's the 6th time I've gotten pulled over in the last 5 years and no ticket! I have gotta slow down.
