Well i've tried asking before but there seems to be no straight answer from acura about my navi, most just tell me not to touch it. I need to move my dvd unit to accomidate my 15" sub. Im going to be building up my trunk, I want to cut the harness that plugs into the navigation and solder an extension to every single wire that goes into it so that i can relocate it anywhere in my trunk.

My fear here is that some of them are video wires and if I cut them and extend them they won't work anymore. Im thinking on using just regular wiring, for every wire. Do you guys know if some of the wires plugging into the navi are like rca wires when cut?

I really dont want to have to replace the entire harness from the navi to the screen up front

Yeah a few months ago with no result. I figured someone here might know since, well we all have the same car for the most part

 

In the 03 system I just converted to, there are 3 separate shielded wire runs. To do it correctly, you would need the shielded cable. What year do you have? I have color coded diagrams for the 01-02 system and the 03 system. Pm me if you need them. How far are you looking to relocate it? I may still have left over shielded cable.
