Need help on Nitrous Question Guys?

I would love to have some laughing gas, but at the same time be safe about.

Ok so I have some knowledge on how NOS works, but not sure on what kind of system to run.

I want it to be on all the time, Or bottle to be warm all the time, So all I have to do is flip a switch and boom its there. Also I want to get the Purge kit to show off a bit . Anyway I need to know what the Safest system for me would be. ALso don't want anything more or less then 75 shot. What is wet or dry and what would best for my application. All i have in AEM CAI but will do the CT headers and Bpipe but thats about it. Besides Nitrous. Thanks guys I will appreciate any feedback

Thats what I want to do my boy is his G35

ZEX dry kit, 75 Shot, UniChip to control it = roughly 300 whp

I would recommend a 75 shot NX wet kit but above is a great choice to.

I believe the gas will eventually leak out if you leave the bottle open all the time. Most people run remote bottle openers for that reason.

IMO save a little longer andg get a SC. Nitrous is cool & all, but with all the refills you'll need in the end the SC will probably nt cost more, and its always "on".

The SC doesnt produce any real boost unless you floor it or take it above 2500 rpms. I'd rather lose 2-3mpg than spend $50 every two weeks to fill a bottle.

Correct me if I'm wrong but The gas doesn't get spraid unless your flooring it right. Or does it work off of RPM. Also can someone tell me how The unichip can control it and also what is the difference between wet and dry kit.

There are different ways of setting it up. The most common way would be an activator close to the throttle body so when the car is floored you spray. I am not sure how the unichip works. A wet kit sprays gas and nitrous and a dry kit only sprays nitrous.

What is the safer way to go with on a car that is pretty new(only 8k) and what also keeps the longevity of the engine. Also which one shows more acurate results.

Nitrous is cool but I suggest you save up and get a supercharger instead. Nitrous refills gets expensive. ~$40-$50 per fill and last about 2 mins thats without purging on a 75 shot. I have a zex kit which only activates on WOT. Or you can hook it up to the Unichip or E-manage to turn on and have it cut off at a certain RPM before you hit the rev limiter. I think Mattg has his Zex kit hooked up to his Unichip.

BTW where in Jersery are you from?

i had Zex for little over a year on my 92 Prelude Si and was using 75 shot and my motor had 150k miles on it and after like 20 bottles my motor was still purring. So even after a year and 20 bottles thats still not over 1k in refills so its the cheapest way to go and if ya going S/C you got 4.2k to go.I used a dry shot where the injectors are used for the extra fuel,a wet shot sprays fuel and nos through a single nozzle into your intake.I would suggest using a dry shot since its more user friendly. So if your motor is mechanicly O.K you should have no prob using 75 dry shot.Make sure you run a cooler plug and always chk your plugs to see if they are in normal operating range you dont want to have white residue or rainbow effect on your plugs cause you be running lean. For cost it still is the cheapest u dont have to come up with 5k at once and with nos its there when u need it and u do only have like 2mins of use but your average race is like what 10-15 seconds and if it was a min long u know how fast u be going like as fast as your car can go so u get the point.Dont spend extra money on unichip or e-mangmnt you dont need it just let off the gas if ya get in aliitle trouble.

Thanx alot guys I app. all the help. I guess the zex system is what it will be. and all the goodies that come with it, Purge kit, Bottle warmer/line warmer and auto nozzle opener thing. 75 shot sounds good and i have good control of my throttle and very aware of my surroundings and don't really race that much I'll maybe use the bottle once a week on my nights off. Anyway My question is is as follows. Is my car to new to have this system. I've got only 8k. Also Im from the Union County area. Last question where does the dry kit connect to.
