Need help with Memory seating (the 2 buttons on the driver side door)

Whenever I leave my car and lock it the car seating for the driver stays right? But when I open my door it keeps going to the 2nd memory which I dont want. How can I keep it at memory 1 the seating I made.. Plus how do I save the 2 memory slot cause I tried pressing memory then #2 button and so on for #1. Kind of confusing I know but when i got my car last night I had no manual or the previous owner didnt leave it.

Please help I hate pressing 1 all the time.. just wanna be able to open car door and the seat stays.

Thanks

You should be able to write to Acura (Do not use the Dealer!!!) and get a manual -use the Acura web-site. I have heard of people getting free manuals. The dealer will charge especially if they didn't sell the car to you.

Not sure about the seat control problem. I set it then pressed Memory then 1 setting and it works fine.

This what I do:
memory #1: Driving Position.
memory #2:Exit Position seat recline to the back and slide to furtherest position without hitting the rear seat's bottom.

I wished to link the memory #1 to the FOB... however, there is no delay... I do not have enough time to climb into my seat and put the seat belt before the seat goes itno driving position...If there were a programmable delay or the seat would activate if the ingintion key is on Position-II that would kick ass!

BTW, The best I love about this CL are the memory seats/mirrors... Lovely.. The CLS replacement car, SHOULD have those!

Hey key fob has a 'memory number' on the back. That fob is tied to the seat memory position (one or two). When you unlock you car with a particular fob, it will automatically selected that memory setting (based on the number on the back of the fob). You have three choices, either make memory positions 1 and 2 the same, use the other key fob, or disable the memory selection when using the fob (instructions are on the fob to disable this feature). I disabled both of my fobs because I use them interchangably.

My friend showed me his Benz CLK430. He was bragging up that feature (until I said my CL-S did it).

Benz does have one on us though: The headrests are also linked to the key fob!!!! How cool is that!

If your 1 remote puts your seat in the #2 position, the remote numbers could be reversed. See what you #2 remote does.

So every time you get in/out of the car the seat moves up and back. Are you worried about wearing out the power-seat motors at all? I have considered doing this also (to get around that big side bolster) but I am small enough that I can get in/out cleanly if I am careful.

no problem so far... in extreme cold... I hear some squeaks and screeching sound when the seat is moving back... I think I need to lube the rails somehow...

Those electric motor should last like 10 years... make good use of them...
