Need Help - Installing CAI right now !

I'm trying to install the AEM intake on my CL-P and am having trouble removing the resonator box.

Firstly, it's a lot bigger than what I pictured after looking at the FAQ. Second, the bolts are all the way up on the side and its really hard to squeeze in there and undo them (there's not a lot of room and I can't see up there). Is there a trick to this ?

Thanks !

Lift the car a little, and make sure you can see the bolts, it shoul'nt be that tough after that. Also jus use a better wrench that you can hold and turn better.

got one of the bolts off after about 20 minutes of trying (the one closer to the tire)... the one closer to the front seems to be impossible to reach .. did you guys use two jacks? ...

If you can move the resonator box a bit, you can feel the front nut.

Once, you get hold of that sucker nut.... do not leave it!!!

.. just keep turning. Do not use a closed end wrench.

after several hours (no where close to 12 .. ), a broken piece of plastic (from the front above the headlight near the filter box and battery), a broken spring clamp, a anti-theft locked out stereo, bruised knuckles and oh an extra screw (dont know where that came from) .. me and my brother gave up on the CAI.

We got all the way down to having one of the 2 bolts on the resonator out, couldnt reach the second bolt (the one near the front) and then just couldnt keep going. The upside to all this is that now i know how to change my air filter, now i know how to change the battery, now i would know where the resonator is, and with some work, could probably get it off.

conclusion: i am going to tell myself that the installation on the CL-P is exponentially harder than the installation on the CL-S

hahahaha ... from now on, there are 2 ways to describe CAI installation. The Amir way or the Nabster way

sorry, bud .. I couldn't help it .. it should be easy if you remove the wheel and the splash guard ... the extension would help a lot too.
