NEED AN ANSWER FAST! S/C + HBP Belt

The belt that comes with the kit won't with the HBP. What is the part number for the next size up belt. I know someone else has needed a new belt!!!

Yes it does fit, I and others have had it on for quite some time. Are you sure the tensioner bracket is moved far enough??

I just spoke with them again and they said it is just barely too tight to slip it onto the pulley. The tech is very familiar with the S/C install (this is his 12th install) and they said it just won't go on.

I found the larger belt though Goodyear gatorback 4040 252

Belt with the kit = 24.5"
New belt = 25.2"

Hey, will the Hope Intercooler void the CL's warranty?

I wonder if Comptech changed the belt size??

That, or because your kit is new, the belt hasn't stretched at all.

I got my belt on, but it was a real struggle. Are you getting the IC kit? If you are then you'll be putting that belt back on anyway. I had alot of miles on my belt, it must have been stretched.

The CL it's coming off didn't have the HBP.

Steve are you hitting the track tomorrow?

The blower was on another CL-S for under 8,000 miles. He was not using the HBP. I've spoken with Jason at Speed Distributors (very helpful BTW) and Brandon at Tischer Acura and put the two of them in contact with each other.

I did not buy a new S/C belt but the other two belts are new.

Ya I just talked to Jason to find out when to expect my HBP, and he mentioned some hoser named Steve in Maryland had gotten his pulley but the rest of us are backordered. He said about 1 in 4 CL HBP applications end up requiring the 25.2" instead of the 24.5".

Cuz belt that came with my S/C fit over the HBP snug, but it still got on there.

Either way glad to see you got it resolved. Can't wait for some track #'s.

Stock crank yes. I researched the UR pulley and it didn't seem like there would be much of a benefit from it.

They just called me and said the boost and fuel pressure gauges were hooked up. They wanted to know what color I wanted them to light up. They must be getting close

Well considering the deal I'm getting on the S/C...

The S/C + I/C + accessories (gauges, spark plugs, tranny cooler, etc.) = roughly $6,000 installed!! I couldn't pass it up

Who's gonna put it on? Are you going to do anything about the plugs?

It's pretty humid for the track Kevin, don't expect great times with 66-83% humidity like weather.com says.

Anything below 85% is considered dry around here.

Ben will tonight if I get there in time. He's still adamant about the stock plugs being fine. I just don't know. Getting to those plugs will require pulling the blower off *sigh*. He said he will do it if I insist, but that there isn't any real need. I hate contrasting perspectives/opinions when the ultimate decision comes down to me spending money or not

I don't know... I mean Comptech includes the plugs for a reason. They are two steps colder than that stock plugs.

Same here. I don't think I've ever been to the track with humidity lower than 60 or so....
