Well today I headed out to lunch w/ a coworker in the S. The temp gauge showed a whopping 103 degrees. I blast the AC at 60 degrees and drive in SS.
I come to a red light, and just talk continue to talk w/ my coworker about where we gonna pick lunch up from. Well I glance to the right and see a BLACK C class. *last gen* I instanly notice the AMG sign on the rims and the carbon fiber between the front and rear door. This ones genuine.

I left my AC on cause its hot as fuck and just griped the steeering wheel reall tight. I know he left his AC on too cause he had all the windows up as well.

Light turn green I take the jump and suprisingly this guy does too. His front bumper is exactly at my driver side door. 1/4 of a car length ahead. We keep going down duke street *45mph* road. Up to 90mph. I then brake and let him pass cause we decided to go to baja fresh. I then saw him pass and give me a wave. I also noticed the C36 AMG badge. You should of seen the face on my co-worker's face. he was like HOLLY SHITTTT that was a AMG!!!

3 weeks ado i went to englishtown raceway and got two runs against a c36. he ran 14.3 at 99 and 14.4 at 99, he whooped me i ran 14.736 at 96 and 14.755 at 96. i

 

I think Nova has mods up the wazoo though. Full Comptech "gear". His car is so fun to drive...damn car chirps 2nd in a fooking automatic, very impressive.

That's the C43, which "replaced" the C36. Both cars had almost equal performance.

Your speed sounds about right for your 1/4 times but that AMG should be in the 13.9 range with his trap speed. Do you happen to now the AMG 60ft times, I very interested to know?

 

Weird, there's a guy in my new neighborhood with that same car. I checked it out, it's legit. Next time I see him I'll ask if he raced any CLs lately.

I ran a C36 a few years back in my M5 on the freeway from about 65mph to 115mph. We were pretty even. Those trap speeds are what I would expect from a car that is strong past 60mph. In fact, C&D got a 14.3 at 99mph for my car in 1991 (mine is chipped though).

The 500E (or E500) can never remember which, was the real competition for the M5 and they ran a 13.8 or 13.9 stock in 1991. Those things are beasts and very rare. Supposedly, assembled by Porsche if I recall. Strange but true.

 

The new C32 is very very quick.......just don't mess with that one
