Saturday night races....

Anyways, I saw Bsly's sick CLS at the races.. talked to him, decided we would run. After the cops busted up one location as we were just about ready to go, the crowd finally regrouped at another spot. We ran against each other twice.

First run: B took me on the holeshot.. my fault due to my severe delayed reaction. Anyways, he had a car on me through 1st, and halfway through second, I was gaining ground... quick. At the top of 2nd, I started pulling on him, and when we shut it down, I had what.. maybe 4-5 cars. After the race, he told me that he forgot to turn vsa off. stooopid!

Second run: I had a much better R/T this time. I had him from the start and kept on pulling hard. By the time I flashed my hazards, there was too big of a distance between us to measure. I think I shut it down near the top of 3rd gear.

Why I won: B has a heavy system, and an extra gas tank in the driver's seat... lol

My technique: I powerbraked and let it loose at 2500. I used sportshift b/c I always hit the limiter when gate shifting.

Conclusion: who was saying a TLS can never beat a CLS?

they're chrome 18s.. but he said they didnt weigh that much more than the stock wheels. but if you wanna go that route, he also had sticky Kumho ZRs.. while I'm running on stock rubber.... AND he has AEM pulleys... so I think the difference is negated.. or judging by the stats.. slightly in his favor.

Yes, you can beat us if we have a bad start. Statistically speaking, it is impossible for a stock TLS to beat a CLS. If the facts were contrary, I would agree too.

Deal with it man. If you wanted to claim fastest Acura except for NSX, you should have bougth a CLS, not TLS.

Actually...he got fatter tires...and even if they weigh the same..the rotational loss he got from have wider, fatter, stickier tires and bigger rims is not offset by a pulley or your stocks.

who said I was talking shit? I'm not disrespecting the CL in any way. You damn CL guys are so defensive... and don't you think there is variance between our individual cars.. I mean cmon.. some stock cars are running 15.2 at the track, while others run as fast as 14.8. No two cars are exactly alike.

The weight difference is negligible. My non-nav TL weighs only slightly more than a CL w/nav. I'm not a heavy guy, so If I ran against a 6'2" 200+ lbs guy, that small weight difference would be negated yet again. Plus a full tank of gas (which is what I had that night) vs. a 1/4 tank of gas would also tip the scales in a proportionally similar amount to the difference between the CL and TL.

Our cars are basically the same. Your CL is not superior in any way. It may weight what.. 40 pouds lighter.. but what does that really mean in a 1/4 mile times? .05 seconds maybe?

i just noticed that you ran 14.6 with only an intake? well, I give props where props are due. Good job. You have one of the faster CLs...

 

i see yu guys have been talking without me......wow, the reason that i lost was the simple fact that my car wieghts alot, end of story, my truck wieghts about 150 lbs not including the spare tire, full tank of gas, my fat ass wieghts 260 lbs, and my tires are not the slick tires there just the kuhmo supras not the good shit and the rims wieght 30 lbs a piece while they are 18 inch chormes. hey but you have to say that my car did get you off the line both times and the 4-5 car lenghts...hmmmmm 1-2 but hey losing is losing, and i bow down.
..but next weekend it will all change, my car will have the stock rims, no beat in the trunk, and im not eating all week to get that down too.......
..so with all that said i say bring it next weekend.....friday night at the same place and time cuz you have to let me redem myself theres no way i can go down like that...........
