My personal quickest 0-60 time.

Today up in Scottsdale it got cloudy around 6pm. The temp got down to 89 so I figured go do a run. It won't be this cool for a while. I ran my best 0-60 with 1/4 tank of gas and only golf clubs in the trunk. I have a CL-P and I ran 6.82 secs
The temp def. makes a difference as the best I could run before was 7.0-7.2 at 100-105 degrees. So as it gets closer and I get mods I will hopefully bring it further down. Also I ran 0-100 in 16.9 and 60-125 in 25.94
Let me know what you think of the times and that's about it. Anthony

The 0-60 was Gtech. the 0-100 and 60-125 was on a big stopwatch that you can't screw up on. Like one of those track coaches use. Was the stopwatch you were timing on your wrist or a small button cuase you should be able to break 7's in a CL-S. but that doesn't matter for 0-60 i used Gtech anyhow.

Just to let you know the gtech is off by about .2 (slower than it should be) :p

I thought mine was pretty accurate. Are you saying I ran 6.62 or 7.02
I doubt I ran 6.62 I would believe 7.02 but I still think that my Gtech is pretty accurate maybe .1 either way.

The amount that the GTECH is off in the 0..60 reading is not fixed -- it is related to the amount of tilt the unit experiences when the car accelerates. The GTECH does not have a "differential" accelerometer to cancel out tilt, so depending on the amount of squat in a given car, the amount of variation can be .0 or .??.

The gtech's sensor has its reading increased by adding in the sine(tilt angle) * gravitational force and the forward acceleration is cosine(tilt angle)

So,

Let's assume a tilt of 1 degree and a "real" acceleration of .4Gs at take off.

If the GTECH was perfect, it would calculate using the .4G.

However, here is the reading just using the .4 G:

Gtech_accel = real_accel * cos(tilt_angle) + 1G * sin(tilt_angle)

gtech_accel = (.4G * .99985) + (1G * .017452)

gtech_accel = .399940 + .017452

gtech_accel = .417392

The initial reading is about 4 percent higher than it actually is, but the amount of variation will not remain constant and will be dependent on the "tilt" (due to squat) and the acceleration at each 1/1000 of a second.
