Brought her home yesterday. 2005 Black on black CTS-V. 6-spd manual (my first manual car ever). LS6 motor rated at 400hp / 390tq. I gotta tell ya that this thing MOVES from ANY speed and ANYWHERE in the rpm range. I can pretty easily start off in 3rd gear. My driving sucks ass for now but practice makes perfect

Yep, it's the 5.7L LS6 motor of the C5 Z06 Vette's.

I was at a red light one day, when all of a sudden I hear this familiar V8 sound take off. I look around and nothing seems to attract my attention, until I notice the Caddy 3 cars in front of me picking up speed at a good pace. I made a point to catch up to him and give him a thumbs up for driving a badass car! Figured I made his day, as not that many people know & understand what a CTS-V really is.

Nope, the last gen Corvette ZO6 engine (the 5.7L LS6). The 2006 model may get the new Corvette 6.0 LS2 engine but nobody knows yet.

Those things are Hawt And there are plenty of Mods out there for that one if you so desire. I didn't realize those things came with Manual geaboxes. Looks great and definitely a sleeper for those unsuspecting victims out there.

I don't know you, yet I instantly Hate you. Naw, I'm kidding. Seriously the CTS-V is one of only 2 domestic cars that I would buy right now. I demand further evaluation. That car would look perfect sitting on some Kinesis wheels and like Steve said "Supercharge" that bish.

Allout: The CTS-V only comes in a 6-spd manual.

The Magnacharger costs about $7k or so installed and puts down something like another 140whp.

My wife let me get the car on one condition though...I can't mod it until it's 100% paid for. I guess that's motivation for me to work harder!

 

I got it for $45,600. About $2k less than the General Motors Employee discount price...had to haggle about 2 weeks to finally get it.

I'm trying to sell it myself for now. I'm really not keen on having to part this thing out but, in the end, I guess I may have to in order to recoup some of the cost of the mods.

In the CTS-V, you're going to be leading WCM4. If I were to guess, Corey likes anything BIG - V8's included.
