My new car is here

Well my cl type s 6 speed arrived via truck yesterday.

To bad the weather in Canada sucks, no traction what so ever with the car.

It was great to finally get it, took the plastic off the interior, exterior etc, and it had .9 kms on it when it arrived. This has got to be close to the end of the production line for the cl's 6 speeds.

Anyhow, looking to install and icebox and rear sway bar once she hits 1500 kms.

Wow that's awesome! Did you find someone that sells just a rear sway? The only one I've seen is Neuspeed and theirs is a 19mm. Same as a stock Type S.

The reason am not installing the front is that the cl plows (understeers) like a draught horse, so therefore increasing the rear sway bar will help promote a more neutral if not oversteer type of handling. I plan to track this car some, and do some solo 2's with it.

Yes would be nice if Comptech just sold the rear bar. On thing I did which makes the front bite much better......I filled the radius rod busings with polyurethane to try and reduce wheel hop. It didn't totally cure the wheel hop but it made a huge difference in the way the front bites when turning into a corner. I like to do solo II also but I haven't tried this car yet.

What i find works for wheel hop is to install poly engine mounts. Worked for the gsr and talon. May just deal with the hop though, don't need three cars that vibrate your teeth out....

Yeah I did fill the engine mounts too. Helped a lot but it will still hop if you let the clutch out really fast with a lot of revs. Doesn't vibrate too bad. Really only notice when the car is first started. Makes shifting a lot more positive and the transition between gears is way smoother without the engine flopping around. I filled the rear mount and the 2 trans mounts.
