Thumbs down my luck !!!!!!!

Hey Guys,

I know i havent started a post up in a while but i needed to vent a little bit...
As you all most likely know, I traded the CL-s in 2 months ago for the Si...
Well it's only been two months, and i walk out my apt yesterday and see that someone stole the Si... I had kill switches in the car so i think someone came and either knew what they were doing or just flat bedded the car away... now i have to wait about 30days for my ins co to payoff the car and go get something else...

I have a question if any of you know about this... its about GAP insurance, i bought it when i got the SI... do any of you know exactly what does it do... i know it pays off any extra amount that the ins co doesnt cover... but dont they give you money towards another car or something?

I posted it here because i know you all are big helps, any info would be appreciated...

From what I understood....When you finance a car, because of the interest you will owe a lot more than the agreed upon price. If your car is a total loss from accident or theft, the insurance company will just give you what the car is worth.

So if you agreed to pay $10K for your car, and after financing, tax, tags and fees it comes up to $14K, and then your car is lost. The insurance will just give you what it's worth. So let's say $11K. That means that you are usually responsible for the remaining $3K. GAP insurance covers this difference and so you don't have to pay anything.

That sucks... But since this isn't about a 2G CL being stolen, it has to be posted in cartalk:
