in addition

"High-rigidity cylinder block with additional strengthening ribs for the TL Type-S"

"While both TL models have iron cylinder inserts, the Type-S engine adds unique spin-cast cylinder-wall liners that are cast into the engine block during the initial manufacturing phase. These spin-cast liners are lighter than traditional iron liners - and also improve heat dissipation to avoid engine knocking. Because they require fewer machined surfaces, spin-cast cylinder liners also simplify the production process. "

"For enhanced flow into the combustion chamber, the Type-S engine has specially designed, race-bred intake valves."

"The compression ratio is 9.8:1 in the 3.2 TL and 10.5:1 in the Type-S due to a taller piston dome. The pistons utilize a 3-ring design with the Type-S engine incorporating a unique angled top ring for an improved seal within the cylinder to accommodate the higher combustion pressure."

"On the Type-S, high-performance camshafts further increase power output by providing longer intake-valve duration, more valve overlap, and additional lift for the exhaust valves."

"The high-output Type-S engine has a larger-diameter exhaust pipe, an increased-flow, low-restriction catalytic converter, and ultra-high-flow capacity dual silencers. The result is a 30 percent increase in exhaust gas flow compared with the 3.2 TL. The Type-S also boasts an aggressive, performance-oriented exhaust note that settles into a subdued tone at cruising speeds."

TL and CL have the same engine btw

Yea good info. That's what I forgot to mention, that in the type-s the compression ratio was increased. This is one of the reasons why we have to use premium gasoline, because anytime you have an engine that's running on boost or has a high compression a higher octane gas is needed ( I've seen that octane question a lot lately)

Yea I know, that's because its a higher quality engine but if you had an engine from oh I don't know......chevy, only their high compression engines would require premium.

That's right I said it. I don't like Chevy

Thanks for all the replies everybody I guess ill keep a eye out for the 2003 headlight's and blanks instead of the fog light's. I'll just get the grill painted the same color as the car. VIS Racing seems like the place to get the hood and trunk from but do you guys know if they are high quality and bolt on because I do not want to use hood pins I want to keep it with the stock latch.

As for making mine a type s engine wise would be to much work I thought it was just bolt-ons but I guess not. So do they sell different intake manifold's, pulley's, throttle bodies and spacer's, header's, cold air intake, and etc??? I really would like to know if anyone is spraying there car with nitrous because I would love to throw a 75-100 shot on there if it could take it??? Would I be able to just put some one or two step colder plugs and 255lph fuel pump??? I don"t know if the stock computer would retard the timing iono im not exactly sure with that maybe with someone with some spray on there car can help me with those questions. I'm used to mustang's lol

https://acurazine.com/forums/2g-cl-2001-2003-50/carbon-fiber-hoods-701993/

^ Check out this thread I was working on recently for carbon fiber hoods...

You might be able to get by without hood pins and other certainly have.

Every tuner shop I went to advises the hood pins...fitment isn't OEM quality IMO.

I had to modify my latch assembly to get it to latch properly.

But I will also get something to stabilize the hood because I see it shaking when I am on the freeway...don't like the look of that.

I'm considering hood latches but look a lot more difficult to install.

2003 road lamp inserts can be had for around $30 from your local Acura dealer.

So it looks like ill just go to the dealership for the fog light blanks since they aren't too expensive. I'll keep a eye out for the 2003 headlight's and I can easily get the grill painted since I got the hook up with that. For the carbon fiber hood and trunk vis racing seems like the one to go with it's just a little on the expensive side it would probably cost me a little over $1,500 with shipping for both brand new.

Can anyone answer a few other the other questions in my post above this??

Some members have it...I don't think they frequent the site much.

I've seen threads in the past...did you try searching?

No offense but....I must say that it sounds like you didn't even try to search.

I don't think anybody really wants to search the forum for you to get all your answers...

No joke...I just did a 10 second search...

Found your answer lying in 78 pages of threads that are related to the topic of Nos.

There are a lot of people who have had similar interests to put spray on our cars and you are not the first.

Chances are...some one has asked your very same questions before...at least in 90% of cases I've encountered.

I'm just letting you know that I made the same mistake when I first joined the forums and somebody bit my head off for asking such questions.

Since you are new to the site...SEARCH...is your new best friend.

Ohh I searched and I know all about the search function I may be new to this forum but not on others so I do know how to use it. And the term nos is usually used by ricer's or people who don't know what there talking about it's called NITROUS damn it lol nos a brand of nitrous and im very familiar with it. I basically want some people to chime in that has wet nitrous kit's on there car's and talk with them so hopefully that will answer all my question's.

^ Yes...okay....Nos, a brand of Nitrous.

I am not that familiar with it and have never owned a nitrous kit.

In my search...came up with wet nitrous kit info...when I searched for Nos.

Still...my point is that you will find all your answers with a little research.

Best of luck...
