I've had a CL-S for about three months now and I love the car. However, I attend UGA and across the street from campus are some "federal Housing" project, i.e. the ghetto. I got a call this Sat. from the campus police that someone had broken into my Acura. I live 1 1/2 hour away and when I finally get there I find that the rear Pasenger side window had been broken, and every single body panel, even the roof, had been hit with rocks leaving huge gashesin the paint and sheet metal. They didn't even attempt to get in and steal anything, they just did it because they thought it would be cool. No finger prints, and the police know they used a rock because there was a fairly large fragment on the roof. They did it in the day time too. Ironically, I parked the car in the back where I thought no one would give me any door dings. Damn.

so the cops cant do anythin to find them obviously, is that covered on insurance in any way?

 

Im expecting to go through hell with the insurance. My brother's really involved in the autobusiness and he says that replacing a roof is insanely expensive and that the car may just be considered totaled. But, I don't know what happens til tomorrow when their office opens.

if its repairable, chances are they will have to repaint the whole car... if so, go with a custom color

Sorry about your car man, that really s*cks. I was living in Boston for a summer and on the FIRST night that I arrived, my entire passenger side was keyed to sh*t. I had to repaint the enitre side. I wasn't even anywhere near the "bad-side" of town. Guess peeps in Boston don't like nice cars with Texas plates on them. Just goes to show you where the term "mass-hole" came from.

 

I feel for you man. That really sucks. My sister just caught and stopped two kids in her grocery store parking lot, rolling carts into peoples cars just for the hell of it. One got away, but the cops came in time and got the other one. Some people and kids are just plan ignorant

 

that sucks... goddamn assholes! my ex keyed the shit out of my CL a few months ago too... but nothing near what u you went through.
