My Car is totatly F*#*#D
Hey guys... Gotta vent and maybe ask for some advice...
I have had it with this Car...latley it has been nothing but a headache....
First, I finally get the tranny replaced and it takes them 1 day to install (The same place that installed BLK CLS's tranny put in mine)... Now in 1st gear, the tranny makes a whining noise (or sorta if you wind something up)....None the less, really annoying.
Remember the "Rough Starts" I was talking about? Well, today I couldn't start it at all....It started and stalled.... When it finally started, I droped it off at the dealer (without an appt.) and demanded that the problem be fixed... After 1 hour of labour, they replaced the Fuel Pressure Regulator and PCV valve...
Tonight, I take the car out and notice excessive noise from the engine compartment. So I pop the hood and notice the CAI is a little loose and my by-pass valve is totally ripped... (Therefore it is sucking in air from the by-pass valve)... I think AEM has a recall on that defect, but now I can't drive the car unless I put the stock intake back on or somehow tape up the 2 pieces of the intake...
All these problems in 1 week! Unreal...$30K car!

I don't know much about cars, but can't you just put the air filter on, where the by pass valve use to be. It would just be a short ram instead of a CAI. So you don't have to put the stock on back on.

a certain date. I don't remember when, but it is fairly old - the 'X' CAIs were made after that date.

damn, my car is going to the SAME dealership this week for a tranny swapping!!
FUCK..this is scary~!
If my car gets fucked after their install too, us 3 should all go to North Toronto, and cause a serious scene.
The only time I ever got North Toronto to fix anything, is when I made a scene, a big scene.
Why is it my responsibility to go another dealership?? I bought my car from them, and THEY should take care of me, no questions asked.

I think part of the problem is that the dealership employs very young mechanic's....some are still apprentices and are like 19 years old... They let those guys do serious jobs like trany swaps etc and the senior mechanic's take on easier tasks like machining rotors, etc....
I am surprised that AEM's by-pass valve didn't hold up to par in terms of quality. I will snap some pics later on today to show everyone what happened and I need to call AEM, but waiting till this afternoon b/c of the time difference.
