my car is the devil

I finally figured out what my cars name should be.... MURPHY. Everything that can go wrong, does.

My Alpine cda 7998 that has been in for about 1 month just stopped working yesterday. Well...it works...its just stuck on one radio station and none of the buttons work anymore so I can't do anything except listen to one AM station on the same volume.

Last night I swapped cars with a coworker so I could use his truck to move some stuff... my back tire blew out on him on the highway at 11pm in the rain.

After finally getting my car set up properly after I dropped it (1st camber wear, then axle came loose... 2 alignments and 4 days at the dealer)... now my rear springs squeak like a rusty mattress over every tiny little bump.

just venting...

when does the 05 mustang come out again?

Damn man sorry to hear your having all these problems.

Alpine usually has high quality products so I’m surpassed your having problems with the deck. If you just got it a month ago its obviously still under warranty. Did u buy it used or new?

Between the tires and the squeaky rear end and the problems you've had in the past I’d go put that deposit on the 05 Stang.

I don't think Ford is where I'd be thinking if I was unhappy with Acura/Honda reliability.

i have problems with the cda-7998 but in otherways

The stupid settings for the delay and crossover keep resetting all the time to some random time settings, and i have to reset these like 5-6 times a week sometimes just changing from xm to fm will cause it.

But i just go to preset 01 to fix it, eventhough I'm not using the I personalize settings anymore since i got tired of loading the cd over and over when the settings screwed up.

anybody know anything about the squeaky noise in the springs? I heard there is something you can put over the coil to stop the noise... but would that mean I have to take the springs out and then reinstall or can I do it while they are on the car?

maybe I'll just soak em in wd 40

I've got some nasty squeaks comming from the rear of my car, but it's the urethane sway bushings not the springs.

fortunately my sway bushings aren't acting up yet. I'm sure that will change...

when I go over speed bumps the springs are just ridiculously loud... people stop and stare at my car.

I think god hates me.

I just saw the hole in the tire from the blowout...it looks like someone shot it out with a desert eagle.

When I first got my Tein SS Coilovers one of the rear coilovers started squeaking like crazy when I was going over speed bumps etc .. I finally got fed up with the squeaking, took the tires off and just drenched the whole thing in silicone lubricant spray, being careful not to get the rotors or anything that shouldnt be lubricated. The squeaking magically stopped and hasn't been back since (*knock on wood*) ... that was almost a year and a half ago.
