One friday night i went down to Rankin Rd. (for those not familar with Houston,TX, Rankin Rd. is the local street racing spot). When i got up to the line, a Z28 pulled up next to me expecting an easy win, his V8 my inline 4. As the starters arms dropped we both took off. Through first gear, he was about half a carlength ahead of me. Then as i shifted in to second the turbo really started spooling. I was running about 12 lbs of boost. I ended up catching the Z28 and beating it by about 3/4 of a car length. It was fun, especially when i got to see the look on the guys face a few minutes later.

Any idea whether it was an LS1 ('98+) or an LT1 ('93-'97).

i think it was a 98 LS1. I've never taken my car to the track but im thinking about going pretty soon.

Sounds like your car is pretty damn quick. Do you have any dyno numbers? Any geusstimations on what it'll run.

You need to take that thing out to HRP.

TurboCL and Pull_T, are you guys in any car club? Pull_T, you can be with Westside Mustang and TurboCL, ICCH (import car club of Houston) .. just my thought.

I'm not really a "member" of Westside Mustangs, but know many of the guys in it and do some of the functions.

yep, i am in a car club. Speed Dynamics is its name but its not much of a club anymore. it just kinda died down. im thinking about joining ICCH.
