I'm with Brandon Allen on the bumper, but the grill looks pretty slick! Mesh looks just the right texture, looks clean and OE. Did you dremel out the plastic cross brace on the grill? Or did the mesh just go over top of it?

Well here are the steps in making the bottom grill for the 2002 Acura CL or almost any car:
- Get a length of cardboard that is slightly long & wider than the bottom grill.
- Open you hood and push it behind the opening and make sure its not bend or curved
- Take a pencil and go from the front and mark out the opening on the cardboard & make sure you get it as close & straight as possible
- Cut out the shape from the cardboard of the of the opening
- Use that as a template for cutting your mesh & filter
- You might need to cut a small slot out of your mesh where your license plate meet the bumper
- Once you have your mesh cut out go and double check it to make sure it fits snug
- If you want it to look neat. Go and get your self of molding to put around the mesh edge.
- The molding will make the mesh a bit bigger in and cause it to fit really snug.
- Use tie straps (same color as your mesh) and tie the mesh to the bumper using the support frame work of the bumper behind the mesh (don't cut those plastic/rubber frames out because it weakens your bumper).
- Tie the straps from the inside (under your hood) so that the tie straps are not that noticeable from the outside. Try to tie them towards the top and behind the license plate.

The mesh and the Filter are in front of it. Just cover it up because cutting is over rated & it weakens the integrity of the bumper, hood etc. lol

See the steps above.

Looks really nice. Did you just cut around the Acura logo on the upper grill around the hood?

Here are some helpful steps in building an upper Grill like mine:

- Remove upper Grill from Car (5 Screws & a few clips holding it into the hood of the car)
- NOTE: Be Careful not break any plastic parts with removal or assembly
- Remove the chrome trim & Acura Logo from the black plastic bracing (there are several small screws & clips holding them in place)
- No need to cut the plastic out of the middle of the black plastic bracing because that will be covered with an air filter & you need it to screw the logo back on too.
- Take a piece of cardboard & place it on the chrome trim & mark out the shape around the trim (mark from the outside of the trim)
- Use the cardboard and cut your mesh but cut the mesh just smaller than the cardboard template on all sides. You will also have to make little notches where screw holes and clips are in the mesh.
- Use another piece of cardboard & place it on the same chrome trim and mark it from the inside of the trim. Use this template to cut your filter.
- The only difference with cutting the filter is where your Acura logo has to be screwed into the black plastic bracing. Cut that circle part out of the middle of the filter. The is because the bracing bulges out there and would not fit properly with the filter over it.
- All you have to do now is assemble everything by:
1) Place the filter on top the bracing
2) Place mesh on top the the filter
3) Place Chrome trim on top of mesh
4) Use a clamp & Aline every thing (screw holes etc) then go from the back & and screw the Chrome trim back onto the black plastic bracing.
5) Screw on Acura Logo
6) Screw on grill back onto car

Note: If any screw fail to hold because of breakage of the plastic parts, you can use JB Weld (epoxy product). Use a few clams & then apply the epoxy & leave to dry for an hour or more if needed.

Here is an example of the Mesh and Filter I used & where to find some of the stuff.

The is a random picture i found online of a Filter sample:

The filter comes in different colors & can be found at Home Depot or other hardware stores. Ask for Pod Filters because they are light, made of plastic material and easy to clean & cut.

Mesh pattern is up to you but the one i used look like this:

Good Luck!

Thanks for the tips on the upper grill. Might have to give it as shot one of these days.

I have been trying to replace those road lamps for a while now and i will sand the headlights in summer.

Can you help me find an alternative to those road lamps? I am thinking of some fogs but have no idea on what to use. Post a link or something please on where to find some proper fogs.

Proper? Doesn't exist.. Just the 7th gen accord fogs mentioned already. Or what I did was add a set of small PIAA fogs & fab'ed a mounting bracket & just mounted them in the stock location.

I have a few question:

1) I was looking around and i know the 03-05 Accord Fog lights look like they could fit that space but what modifications will i need to do to make them fit?

2) The Accord Fogs are H11 Bulbs i think and i want to know if its just a matter of connecting the power wires or is there some kind of conversion kit needed for the power supply to those bulbs.

3) Is there anywhere that D.I.Y on this? I looked but cant find.

I bought a set of 2004-05 fogs off of an accord and I am going to order some morimoto hids for them but I need to know how to wire them. I guess the fog switch off of that same year accord looks the best but i need to figure how to wire them.
