err... just in case anyone cares, january issue of motor tested it, along with the '04 maxima. here are the results:

The SE posted these numbers
AT (5speed): 0-60: 6.6 sec; 1/4 mile: 14.91@95.26
Manual (6 speed): 0-60: 6.3 sec; 1/4 mile: 14.77@96.69

By the way the Acura TL (6 speed) did:
0-60: 6.1 sec; 1/4 mile: 14.44@98.17

TL won the comparo!

as I said before in gavrils post, the numbers are way more accurate than motorweek.

 

I was expecting the new TLS-6 beating the CLS-6. I would see it doing 14.0-14.2 at close to 99 MPH.

 

Why? Heavier car, and same hp (rated 10hp higher means little to nothing in reality and could easily be made up in production variations).

Btw , ANYTHING will beat that Maxima in a comparo... it's so bad it's almost expected Nissan will drop the damn thing completely.

In any case, in year or so, A Hybrid TL-S with some 350HP is possible!

I'm still a little disappointed with those numbers. The current CLS is still faster. A manual G35 (the TL's real competition being Infiniti) is 5.6 to 60. That's significantly faster. Maybe C&D will get that the TL into the high fives.

 

And as I said, MT's COY is BULLSHIT which cld not be more evidenced than choosing this POS over Enzo, new 6 series, Carrera GT, etc. BTW-why does this"prove" that MT's #'s are better or more reliable than MWs???

my fathers 04 max bone stock 5 speed auto ran a 14.6 and that was on a warm day its good for a 14.5 on a cool day my cls on a cool day ran 14.6 w/aem intake automatic and a 14.7 on a warm day so i think the 04 max is faster than the 04 tl
