Most Wanted 2003 Feature

I say better brakes, with a new tranny second only because a manual will be offered.

The only reason I put that on was because I tend to think that the '03 6MT CLS will be built on the next gen TL/CL platform, whose prototype was built at the MDX plant in Canada. MDX=AWD

I'd be happy with real fog lights and better paint.

This is probably counter to just about all the ideas that are going to come up in this thread, but I think the next-gen CL will appeal to a broader range of consumers if the size (and weight) was reduced back to that of the 1st gen CL. This generation seems (IMHO) too specialized as a big highway cruiser in the vein of the BMW 8-series/Ford Thunderbird. With the Honda Prelude now gone, the next-gen can be effectively recast as "the luxury Prelude".

Acura needs to reclaim it's high level of finish and aura of absolute dependability if not to compete with established luxury marques, but at least to return to its core values and answer to its most steadfast fans.

My vote goes for 40hp more. It would distinquish the car by moving it into a more elite 300+hp class of vehicles.

I don't think that RWD is even a remote possibility...but AWD could be managed just like Jag did w/ the X-Type. They simply took the Euro Ford Mondeo (ex-Mystique/Contour) platform & added the rear drive parts. I would definately trade in my CL-S for it! Even be willing to pay an extra 3-5 thousand for it!

The Caddy Deville and Seville have 300hp and they are not considered elite, hp is nt everything.

Jag HAD TO make the x-type AWD becasue NO ONE would have bought a FWD Jag.

Understand the Cl was DESIGNED in the U.S (California) and BUILT in the U.S (Ohio) for the U.S market, nowhere else. Any features added will be to appease U.S customers.

A CL type S without that damn perforated leather. Solid leather please (and of course a nice manual transmission).

personally, i think that a telescopic steering wheel would be the best feature to be added. finding THE best seating position in this car is impossible. the next best feature would be height adjustable seatbelts.

fold down rear seats, AWD, better gear ratios, sequential manual with steering wheel paddles, faster steering ratio, smaller mirrors, seatbelts that know how to go back on there own like every other car... and DONT add more power, it has enough just give us control..

I have to agree with that. I was surprised not to find this option when I bought the car. Being almost 6'10", a telescoping wheel is almost a necessity. Fortunately, the seats move back far enough for a very comfortable ride.

My next choice would be a compass on the console or the rear-view mirror.
