more about brakes problems

I guess question is: is there anything wrong with the CL's OEM rotors and/or brake pads?

It seems to me that the life-time of CL's rotors and/or pads is to short compared to the other cars, at least this is true for most of the owner's of CLS.

Yes, you can say that it is related to the way you drive your car, but this problem also happens to the people who baby their brakes.

All facts are suggesting that CL's rotors and/or pads are VERY weak!
And what does Acura do?
They look for a quick AND cheap patch ( resurface rotors ) to get you going till your waranty ends....
This is not right ....

i've never cared about short lifespan on rotors or pads, mb rotors and pads were out very quickly, although they are very proud of the fact of "soft materials" to maximize braking, could you imagine how tungsten carbide rotors and raybestos lifetime pads would stop? (i know mb and acura is apples and oranges, but i'm just using it to make a point, in racing i always used ebc "green" pads, soft as butter but maximum braking (more apples and oranges but you guys get the point)

Russiandude, not to disrespect you in anyway, how come do you always have problems with your CL? I had my CL since July 2000 and my car is running great.

Does the TL-S share the same rotors/pads with the CL-S?

I am just trying to get to the bottom of the rotors/pads problem. No one really knows if CL has indeed a problem with rotors/pads, or we are just expirencing normal tear & wear?

I understand pads can go bad early, but re-surfacing rotors at 10-15K miles seems unacceptable!
Its not just me who has this problem, there are bunch of people who complain about that.
and yes, I had my sun roof and windshield smeary fluid fixed under waranty because it was really bothering me!
