Moonroof would not close...

Well, my car is barely 2 weeks old and the moonroof would do everything but close. So, I bring it in today and the mechanic had no clue why. My poor car is all in pieces from him pulling parts out.

Did you know that you can manually close the moonroof???

I get a loan, which is a base RSX. What a POS. The meters/dash lights are all a dark red color. Looks like a brothel in there. But like I said, it is a base model.

Just my 2 cents..

PS. If anyone has the same problem, they found out that a small pin in the switch fell off and jammed the close switch..

Yes I did, because I read my manual front to back the day I took delivery.

Okay. There is something wrong with you two. Don't you know that you only crack the manual open when things fail and you begin to get panicky? What's wrong with you guys...

Hey, that is 2 out of how many of us on this Board that has read the manual....

I read mine front to back too.... Well actually I didn't get home until 2am or so that night - so I fell asleep halfway through (it NEVER fails, I always fall asleep while reading).. but as soon as I woke up I read the rest of it!

I read mine through the day I got the car home, too.
Not that I remember a darn thing in it anymore.

I'm with SilverKnight, I've read the manual and part of the HELM's.

Of course comprehension and retention of said read material is a whole other story!

Though I do know where I can find most information in each one if I have to. Though asking here on the board is much easier for a lazy bum like me!

I didn't read the whole manual, and read nothing about the moonroof. Nearly every power moonroof manufacturer, has had a manual close feature for years.

If it fails, I will refer to the manual for the secret.

Although I didn't read the manual front to back right away, I do keep it in the car, and by now I have read it front to back.

hehe make it 8, I read mine front to back too at the dealer when I first picked up my car(well I skipped some stupid simple stuff). My sister's car 's stop light didn't work so it took them like an hour to figure out whats wrong with it. I was reading the manual while my parents test drove every single car acura has just cause they were bored, haha.
