metallic rubbing noise

I've started to hear a kind of metallic rubbing noise and low speeds and while braking. I thought it might have been the rotors, but i can't feel it in the steering wheel or brake pedal. Anyone have any ideas?

schoeny ..

i have the EXACT same thing .. i've had my rotors resurfaced twice now... and I think it has something to do w/ that (plus I've had my brake pads replaced recently w/ new versions that supposedly don't warp the rotors as quickly)

I have an appt. for a loaner for this very issue next week thursday, I live in Chicago
i'll keep u updated

I take it to (unfortunately) Continental ACura in Lisle, IL ... i say unfortunately b/c they suck! THey never pay attn. to detail and always "cant find" the problems and I'm forced to point it out to them , again, and make another appt.

Technically, they aren't supposed to resurface the rotors more than once... however, in a weak effort to save money, they've resurfaced mine twice .. and now I have a feeling that they've developed grooves in them that are making the noise as the brakes rub against them under various braking pressures from various speeds.

I'm taking it in this Thursday morning, I'll let you know what they say.

fastvteccl had the same problems (due to worn brake pads) we changed the pads out and kept the rotors, even though there were some small signs of grooves...i would say check out the pads first....but im no expert, just going on experience with same problem
