Mesh or No Mesh????

I've never posted pics before but I'm really on the fence about the new grill i put in today. Keep it, Trash it, or paint it??? Or possibly just paint the /-\ symbol flat black.

I think it something doesn't look right and I need ya'lls perceptive eyes to tell me what you think.

Yeah I agree, Im gonna paint it black next week. Too much chrome/shiney. And I live in Roswell, Ga but got to school @ UGA, All Mine. I try and keep an eye out for your CL since we live so close, but Have yet to seen it on the streets.

BTW I like the A symbol so it's gonna stay. lol.

Thanks for the advice.

I know you said you like the "A" symbol, and I had it on my first mesh now that I have a new mech with no "A" I like it so much better. Just a cleaner look. Also I agree that painting yours black is the way to go. Just my opinion.

Thumbs up

You got the right idea but the fact is that. The all chrome mesh over powers the the black car which in return makes the overall view look a little off balance. Just let it do what it do and you'll be aiiight.

I like it- don't paint it, just remove the road lamps and replace with the 2003 fairings- makes for a much cleaner front end. See my avatar picture.

Yeah, After having it on for a day or so there is definitely too much silver on the front, (Some one actually asked me what kind oof CADILLAC I drive!!) The grill will be painted black and the Chrome A will stay where it is.

BTW The mesh is gutter gaurd I bought for $1.50 at home depot. Instructions on how to fit it are in the Frequently asked questions forum. It took me about 45 minutes and I have never worked on a project like this before. It's a breeze, just watch out for the sharp, cut mesh.

Actually, I agree with you. LOL. Im gonna paint it black first to see if I like it, If not back to stock and I'm out $2.00. I want my CL to look a little different from everyone elses car but not at the expense of making it a ricer. Thanks for the honest comment, which is what I asked for in the first place.

But remove the "A" and replace with the "Type S" badge off centered. Someone with a PDG (not to be confused with OPG ) did it and it looked hot.

Looking for mesh grill

Yo man, I was wondering if you knew where I could find a mesh grill for my 98 CL. I've been looking everywhere and I can't find one.

I know... deffinition of forum is 'A public meeting place for open discussion'. I just think that it should be constructive criticism rather than 'it looks cheap' Whatever... it isn't my thread.

The silver mesh looks great on lighter cars. But paint it black or contact ronjonwheels.com for a nice mesh grill.
